I also heard that game main quest will be short but there is a lot of side quests and i think it will be worthy game. So decide by yourself, today in present times even great roleplaying games like Kingdom Come 2 which im playing too are criticized and attacked becouse of the "woke" or "antiwoke" whatever this means. I focus on gaming mostly and i think game from Obsidian should be good enough to spend some of precious free time with it.
You just have to wait 7-8 days more, to see how this game will turn out. But ultimately, it's your money and your time, you decide how to spend it.
Janky, short, woke, racist and diversity hire game.
Ask yourself. What do you want from the game? And what would be deal breakers?
Watch gameplay and do forth.
I recommend waiting until after release if you are on the fence, then you will have access to more information
I was excited about this company making more games like New Vegas back when Outerworlds was coming out and then I bought and played that game day one........ It was one ofthe most unmemorable RPG experiences I have had in a long time, to the point that I did not care what the studio made anymore as it was proven that NV was a lighting in a bottle type of game that they will not be able to do again.
I don't like the character designs in this game (the fish guy creeps me out), I don't like what i heard about the limited build/gameplay options and i definitely don't stand behind some of the drivel the lead devs have said. The visuals, effects and combat look decent but decent is not worth 70 buckaroos to me.
I have recently gone back and played Oblivion and boy even with how badly that game aged visually, they don't make them like they use to.
The only game that may scratch my first person Elderscrolls-like itch is Tainted Grail which is still a ways from 1.0 and still need a lot of polishing from what I have seen..
The answer to this question is easy: buy or pass? game pass ;)
I think this kind of game fits perfectly to a suscription platform, instead of buying it for 70 bucks
