If it had reached a million sales, not players, they would have worded it as such.

I guess what happens to Bioware rather explains their "success" than what they report about Veilguard themselves.

Even the report states that it sold way to little.. but obviously a corporation is not going to paint themself in a bad way.. instead they will do the.. "players wanted something else, so now we will do live service games" and yes that is what happened...
