is there a reason why this game isnt sold on keysites like fanatical? they usually sell me keys for 2/3 of the price on steam

sniper elite resistance waited until a few days before release for key destribution to keysites so it might be the case here too but if theyre only destributing MS store keys (which ive never seen before) it would be a bummer, the regional pricing for me stands on 95$ for base game and a game like doom the dark ages is the same but on keysites the price is cut by 33%

Yeah, Microsoft is going pretty anti-consumer here when they don't do that for their other studios. Hopefully this isn't a sign for the future, though Xbox is at least letting Bethesda not be arses. Good 'ol Microsoft being a chaotic mess as usual, no wonder they lost the console war.

you're assuming they have a mandate, from what i could tell microsoft lets their publishers manage it the way they want, only requirement is to to put their game on gamepass

Nah, I'm just using my brain. Microsoft ultimately decides what Obsidian can't or can't do, period. Even if they let both studios do whatever, that is a choice, a choice to not walk in, slap Obsidian, and tell them to put their games on other second-hand stores like their favored studios.

Tbh since steamdeck came out, steam singlehandedly won the console war, and theyre releasing a home console soon too. The competition is nonexistant when steam enters the scene.

As for avowed, that def seems to be the case, the latest ms releases have been dodgy since they gobbled up so many studios

Yep, and hardly shocking critical thinking confuses you. And your second statement is essentially agreeing with me, that's why I called them anti-gamer haters.

Especially since they put their games on reseller sites under their previous publisher and Microsoft let much more prestigious studios and games do it too.

So clearly, Obsidian is objectively choosing to be anti-consumer on their own. Sucks. They might have sold a lot more copies if people could get a launch day discount and buy the game at normal prices.

no, you said they hate pc gamers, that's objectively false statement as ms store is on pc

i wasn't agreeing with you, i was pointing out that you said the same thing i said under the guise of correcting me

so you weren't using your brain, you were just copying me

No, you're definitely agreeing with me, if unintentionally. I just don't think you actually know what you're talking about.

The entire point is buzzing right over your head, to little surprise. It's the same price on the MS store. Op and I were talking about secondary sellers like Fanatical and GmG, explicitly stated in the title, just like Bethesda is currently doing and Obsidian used to do under their former publisher.

The reason, since I doubt you're able to comprehend this, is because they offer the best deals around, especially on launch titles. The MS store, aside from being a joke, does not, and there's zero reason to buy it there over Steam if you're not on game pass.

You just agreed with me that it's basically Obsidian's choice.

And ergo, it was their choice to be anti-consumer and hate on gamers.

I know that was a bit much for you but let me know if you need me to simplify it further.

you said there's mandate, there's no mandate, microsoft let their publishers do how they see fit, i'm not agreeing with you, you're agreeing with *me*

you seem to think you have some kind of parasocial relationship with corporations, there's no "love" or "hate", there's just the bottom line

Man you're just struggling to understand basic concepts. Nothing parasocial about calling a company anti-consumer. You're ironically the one defending for... uh, reasons?

The whole point is that there is no mandate. That means Obsidian is choosing to not release their games on Fanatical, GMG, Games planet, Games bilet, etc. I'm sure you know these companies work by taking a smaller cut and passing on the usual 30% cut as savings, which makes it a win for us and devs both since nothing changes for them and we get a discount.

Hence anti-consumer behavior. It's kind of simple, I don't know why you're going off about being parasocial but the irony is kind of funny.

i didn't defend anything, i simply stated facts, you're the one who started arguing about it

You should look up the difference between facts and opinions, then come back and edit this post.
