Cool skeleton on the cover, actually not in the game?
Hey so um, I see a cool skeleton with floral stuff coming out of it on the thumbnail for the game, I click on it, and baboom, it's ugly Skyrim character creator slop with wacky skin colors from Saints Row IV.

What gives? That skeleton would've been a far cooler player character than anything seen before

but no it's Le Human with Star Trek prop ears and Concord complexion.

I hope you consider making the skeleton real, as in not just clickbait but an actual visual in the game. I'm dead serious. No cool skeleton, no cool money.

Hello guys I'm checking again to see if they added the cool skeleton to the game or if it's still just all ugly unlikable pastel people
Your bait failed. Stand down.

The skeleton on the cover is the bait.

The Master Bait
I'm also interested in cool skeletons. But not the ones in the devs closet. Place is a graveyard
To be honest, this was a disappointment for me as well. I found this thread while searching for whether it was possible to play as the Skull Knight on the cover. Why on earth they didn't give players the option to play as such a character when it's featured on the cover is beyond me.

It's a skeleton infected by the dreamscourge. It combines a type of enemy found in-game with the storyline. Nothing really that strange.
I thought the skeleton on the cover was suposed to be some mix version of Lodwyn and Sapadal?

You must not have been playing video games in the 80's.
All of the covers of the games back then looked nothing like the games they were advertising.
Good old Phalanx with an old guy with a banjo on the cover for absolutely no reason

That skeleton actually has every theme in the game mixed into it, so it's a pretty good art once you know what you're looking at.

Lol Avowed's defense: "Well games that came out 30-40 years ago had things on the box art that weren't in the game!"

Sweet Jesus, even Master Chief is in Halo, and that came out 20 years ago (and by the same producer).
This is some pretty weak ragebait. The skeleton symbolizes death that comes from the dreamscourge, but I guess symbolism basically goes "WOOSH" over your head. redditor mindset.

The reason why there are only 2 playable races, humans and elves, is because the Aedyran Empire is mostly populated by those 2 races. If pointed ears trigger you so damn much (you would not survive an elder scrolls game playthrough), play as a human.

Be that as it may, I'm still disappointed that you cannot play as a Skeleton.

Hopefully someone will mod it in eventually.
