How can you possibly decide to support this game?
I'd honestly like to know how. With more information like this revealed I don't see any justifiable reason to spend money on this game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJfA1q-E7pA

That is indeed the question, it takes a thoroughly dedicated individual to decide to still support such a toxic company that ignores it's own employees & encourages non-equality....like Democrats.

I am not.

Easy. I don’t use Twitter, I don’t watch YouTube rage bait, and I’m not a drama queen.
If the SJWs want to cancel Obsidian, that’s their deal, but if Avowed is good, I’ll play it.

I dont care, i'm not a terminally online weirdo that is looking to be outraged over nothing. Game looks awesome, and i'm going to likely buy it day 1.

Downplaying an issue and telling people they are overreacting is a form of gaslighting.

They play the I don't care card, but they really are very much part of team DEI.

Not to worry though! The DEI plague will soon end!

All this stuff is entertaining though :P

All the obsidian employee said was that he was looking at portfolio's and giving career advice. It's not normal to flood a game message board with hate like this, especially over a game you don't care about and have no intention to play. See a therapist, this is unhinged behavior.

why support something new when you can just sit and complain. interesting how you decided that one person's opinion is a fact for everyone? if you don't like it, don't buy it. someone has to support new ideas instead of sitting in the past and complaining that everything changed. but of course, it's easier to criticize than to try and understand what could be interesting

>nothingburger of an internal email with recommendations on addressing company matters on socials as an individual
>the very same polices that are in place in pretty much every company ever
>a 16 min video milking this very bland email
What am I supposed to be mad about exactly?
if anything I'm surprised you are supporting this clickbaity "content" creator with your views

Do you see any mouse icons here? Most of the people will play this on Game Pass. Only die-hard Obsidian fans will buy the game. And I can't imagine even die-hard fans dropping 90€ to play five days early.

Exaggerating an issue and just saying it's a huge deal is a form of lying.

Like I said, if you want to play SJW and cancel Obsidian because some dev said they liked hiring non-white people on twitter, you go die on that hill. But I don't care about the personal opinions of random video game devs, so if a video game is good, I'm not going to let a couple tweets I'll never read stop me playing it.
When it comes to support, I want to support good games.

No one is lying. If they were they could be sued for defamation. They are bring up real issues that have been plaguing the gaming industry. We all want good games.

^SJWs have been trying to cancel anything and everything that makes them mad for ages; nobody's going to take Octavus, from the Steam forums, to court over pretending a couple tweets are a big huge deal and saying Obsidian should be canceled over them.

Well, for one, it's the SJWs pushing all the DEI into games in the name of "inclusivity" by which they really mean excluding certain people. And no, they won't sue someone from the forums, but they could go after the YouTube content creators that are getting the thousands of views if they were in fact lying, but they are not.

Well enjoy your self indulged ignorance. More people are aware that if disingenuous WOKE crap like this persists that it'll ruin more potentially good games. Enjoy wasting your non earned dollars.:whatever_fox:
