Or you could wait five days and let the early access crew get some solid bug reporting in before a buy.

Or I can just not buy it, too many red flags.

You can do that too but don't blame me if you get a visit from the Pinkertons...just saying.

Can people PLEASE stop calling this early access. It's paying extra to play the game ON TIME and delay it for others. That's it, they charge people extra because they're aware how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid many people are they'd actually pay extra to play the game on RELEASE if it means it'll delay it for others.

^ This basically, it's NOT actual early access. ^

BG 3 had actual early access, Conan Exiles had actual early access. And neither of them charged extra for it ... you paid the same as everybody else, but could actually provide meaningful feedback during development.

Premium Edition content is weak.

Starfield under preformed and under delivered so Microsoft really needs to squeeze to please shareholders. Chances are it will need a month to hit a good state like every post covid release.

Its disgusting

Starfield sold perfectly well. It absolutely did not have legs though and I suspect the dlc bombed. I'm sure Microsoft isn't happy with the mixed critical reception.

The underperforming claims came from a very suspect source without any verification.

What is definitely true is it didn't sell nearly as well as Fallout 4 but that was also part of a very loved and ongoing franchise.

Starfield was a gamble on a new IP and just ended up being mediocre without the franchise inertia of previous Bethesda games.

I dont think bethesda or microsoft wanted it to do okay, they wanted it to do skyrim numbers on launch. It didn't. It may have broke even but they were expecting a home run and the start of a new Ip. Instead they delivered a half baked product that didn't take any risks and was one of the most boring experiences in AAA gaming.

Oh yeah I don't disagree.

Starfield still sold pretty well despite everything.

Hard to do Skyrim numbers when it's on Gamepass.
