Obsidian is gone
I played pillars 1&2 and like both. Read most of lore and books in game, so I'm familiar with the living lands. When they announced this game and stated it's about the living lands, I was happy we get another game in the pillars universe and get to explore this specific area of the world. When they announced they were going to focus on a smaller scope in order for them to cater to what their fans are usually accustomed to, I welcomed it.
However under no circumstance could I have ever imagined such an underwhelming and trite action game.
Writing? Who cares about that in an action game?
Choices and consequences? LOL
World interaction? LOL

Another beloved studio bites the dust

Pillars 2 was already a dumpster on fire. Tyranny can be at best described as "WASTED POTENTIAL", but it never got a proper sequel.

AWOOO is just... sad.

Nah, Pillars 2 was great.

Why was poe2 a dumpster fire? I liked both games and yes this game is just sad.
Boring stiff action game

Pillars 2 was inferior to the first one but a decent CRPG. Avowed is just... A considerably worse outer worlds in a fantasy setting

Absolutely bewildering who in their team thought this would secure their place with Microsoft.
Obsidian just release the immensely acclaimed Pentiment, and now Avowed is being praised by literally everyone playing it.

They are so gone guys.

Pillars 2 is the best Pillars game, and one of my favorite CRPGs ever.
Avowed seems fine so far, but I'm only a couple hours in. It's not a CRPG, so there's definitely less writing, but none of it seems bad yet.

Game's pretty fun IMO.
Cry more.

At least in outer worlds you had a proper rpg. You could do whatever you want. Here it's an on rail action game
Every great developer when I was young sucks now except Nintendo. But they have their own problems. Sad state of affairs.

Congrats on missing the point. They can have financial success - which I highly doubt - but the product they release can still be utter trash. So yeah they are gone to anyone who enjoys true rpg

After having played the game for a few hours, I can confirm it's not very good, but Obsidian are far from being gone.

Everyone? 80% is everyone? 2,500 ish reviews in less than 24 hours? 100 yreviews per hour? How long did they play it? Who exactly are these reviewers? Are they even real or is Microshaft making sure the positive reviews stay at 80% to generate more potential buyers?

We all know you're a shill for Obsidian. LOL Univerally acclaimed. GTFO.

Every NPC of note being a STRONK WOMXN OF COLOR (like in AWOOO), and story which made absolutely no sense to anyone who is not a fun of Gloryhammer/Alestorm?

It's such a jarring disconnect from first Pillars, even if game mechanics were arguably more refined than a cheap d100 D&D knock-off that was the first instance.

Your opinions on every single thread manage to consistently be pure diarrhea. Another impressive gamer.
