Same exact thing here. After character creation and cutscene, HUD visible, everything else black screen.
When set at FSR (default), I get the black screen with visible hud issue. As soon as I switched to TSR (I’m using 60% but any percentage works), I could see everything.
Also, if you turn off upscaling, you’ll get a black and white graphics glitch (with visible HUD), sort of like you’re playing Return of the Obra Dinn. TSR is literally the only setting that fixed any of this for me.
And yes, as for the boot issue, ensure -dx11 is in launch options. Game currently won’t boot without that. No need to fiddle with forced compatibility though. I tried GE, Experimental, Hotfix, etc and nothing changed on that front.
(I’m in OLED Steam Deck; I’m seeing a lot of OLED users, specifically, with issues.)
I tried it, the only way for me to get the game started is to start and play it in desktop mode. But when I finish the game and resume game play mode, the whole screen glitched out as if I broke the screen, I resolve it by putting steam to sleep mode and wake steam deck up. Don’t know what is wrong with it still.
Also the game looks much better when completely disabelling fsr. (Has to be done through an ini file as mentioned in another post here)
