I’m ok with physical engine of both game, plate, body, loot etc. being sent everywhere by your shouts sometimes do feel annoying.
The real problem is quality and quantity of the contents, and recent obsidian games such as PoE2 and Out World tend to be a bit too short.

two; it's still a dumb comparison because it's made by two different companies, on two different engines, entirely different developers and games.

This is more like the people who say “X is the dark souls of Y”. or that Far Cry 3 is Skyrim with guns.

Different games with different art styles. But, there are places where Avowed seems to be a clear winner, such as draw distance and the maps themselves which, even though I have played it and seen everything looks much better than almost anything in Skyrim, maybe except the dlc.

Plus combat seems clearly superior. Not to say Skyrim isn't better in many aspects like npcs moving about. Still, different games, with different budgets and teams. And sometimes this fact matters more than age, like RDR2 for instance, which is better almost all open world games to date.

Not really, Western games seems to still push the envelope in terms of innovation. Meanwhile Japanese games are stuck in their old ways with the same formulas for RPGS and action games.
