I didn't realize there wasn't a helmet slot until you said it. That is kind of annoying. I was hoping for a cool knight helmet. Ah well.

Godlike not being able to wear helmets has been a sustained feature of the setting since the very first game.

The default assumption is that the Godlikes have features on their head that prevent them from wearing conventional headwear. This is pretty consistent with previous titles.

I get lore reasons and all, BUT, you can actually see player character wearing hood in trailers + godlike features for hair are disabled by default. Personally, I think they should include helmets and other headgear in the game and only prevent players from wearing it if they choose some wild customization options, which then should grant some permanent stat boost to compensate.

It's a largely first person game in which I almost never see my character's head. *shrug*
My weird tree branches protect his head just fine.

Personally, if there is an option in a game to hide the helmet, I use it, and since Avowed put so much effort into the character editor, there would be no point for me to cover it with a helmet, so it's just practical that I won't find pieces of gear that will not affect my character appearance.
