No reputation system?
I've heard that there's no reputation system (for companions, factions, cities, etc.). None at all.

That would mean that your actions don't really matter.

Everything you do or say leads to the same linear outcome.

Is that true? I wouldn't want to waste my money (and my time) on such a linear game.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

How? I mean if I shoot the king, the king is dead. You kinda don't need a faction reputational system to work out how that might change things, in fact I'd argue having said systems usually leads to such decisions not mattering because they usually allow you to kill off the entire royal family without the kingdom complaining about it, on account of you having saved a few cats from trees a couple of weeks ago.
Haven't finished it yet but from what I've seen there's some minor differences (certain NPCs may live or die depending on what you do), you have specific abilities you can unlock depending on your decisions at key points, and I'm expecting it'll be the usual Obsidian narrative of having you work for all sides up until the final act where you'll pick which one to back.

there are many games without reputations where your actions matter, i don't see how it has to be exclusive to reputations
