The combat in this game looks ass
The enemies don’t react to anything and that stand there slowly animating and barely moving. The combat looks so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad, slow and incredibly boring

It's a 2A game after all, despite the price.

Nope, combat is good. No enemy has just stood there. Please share videos about what you saw
Apparently it's pretty good, ACG said it was kind of superficial but he had fun with it and I usually agree with his reviews

People saying it’s good - in what way? Every video I’ve seen the enemies just stand there, taking a ton of hits as they’re sponges, getting lit up but not reacting to the combat in almost any way

Please share links so we can actually respond to what you're talking about

Yup, combat looks bad and no im not gonna do ur work for you. Just Google avowed letsplay and see how bad and boring the combat is. Looks like indie game that cost 90€
I've played about 5 hours now. Combat has been good to me. I'm using a combination of magic and guns. Enemies react to being hit and have hit back pretty hard as well. It's not Elden Ring levels of tough but it isn't supposed to be. I've hear the game isn't great if you decide to go all in on melee fighting and no magic but that's the only complaint I've heard. If you don't like the way it looks, ok, you are entitled to your opinion. But after actually playing the game myself, it's doing exactly what it needs to do for me.

Easy mode. I think the AI is toned down on easier settings and most game reviewers or journalists are trash at gaming so they play on the easiest setting.
Well, I love ass so that's good news

Well I've actually played the game, and watched footage from 3 streamers, and neither them nor me had enemies just stand there. So it's not any video showing the combat. That's why I asked you to share specific ones. I'll go and watch the trailer now and get back to you
No you haven’t lol and you’re ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blind
I haven't what? Played or watched streamers? How would you know? You spying on me?
I have over 8 hours play time, and I watched DansGaming, CohhCarnage and ItmeJP play.

Getting back to the trailer, other than the cuts showing off skills, all enemies are moving. Using a specially crafted trailer to say enemies don't move is pretty dumb. Have you actually watched real gameplay footage?

You're making it very clear you have no idea what you're talking about and it just makes you look like a muppet. Maybe try harder next time

Combat seems much better than Skyrim or Elder Scrolls in general.
Everything has to be timed, hits, parries, dodges, when Skyrim is just a clic fest no matter what you do.

I really trust Obsidian on the builds they will offer, I expect many possible synergies.

i watched a streamer play it, for about 4hrs last night, combat looks clunky and terrible, graphics are okay, they were running everything on max, but it looked very average. and also the walking and jumping looked clunky as hell.

I watched them attack a large bear, and actually fell asleep during the stream lol.. never do that normally.

Why the ♥♥♥♥ are you comparing an action rpg from 2025 to an open world rpg from 2011 and prior?

Cry harder, you haven’t played the game and you are blind to the boring no impact combat everyone faces with unreactive enemies
Do you have some kind of mental disability? You can clearly see I owe the game, and you can also see I've played it for over 8 hours.

Both are action 1st person RPG with blade weapons, I don't see why you could not make comparaison.
