Avowed Review (Would 100% Recommend)
I'm not able to post a review on steam because I own the game on gamepass so these are my overall general feelings about the game.

So basically I have the game free on gamepass and upgraded to the premium edition to play early for 25$ Haven't regretted it.

Haven't run into anything overtly "woke" and the game gives you the option to hide your pronouns indefinitely at the end of character creation so that you never see them when you open your character sheet in the game.

Some of the "godlike" designs you can put on your character are pretty lame looking but, I just went with making a normal looking warrior with a scarred up face. Character customization pretty much allows you to make your character look however you want.

-Cons
The only thing that I've found that I actually don't like about the game is that the dodge button is bound to the same key as the jump key so you need to be standing completely still to dodge or moving exactly left or right.

No walk keybind for PC unless you're playing on a controller.

-Pros
Compelling story
Slapstick dialogue options
COMBAT IS FUN
My biggest kudos I can give to the game right now is that I feel like my time isn't being wasted by exploring, almost any direction you look there is SOMETHING to do, a chest to find, gear to collect, monsters to slay.

I can't give the game a 10 but my expectations were so low that they were blown out of the water so I give it a 9/10

Now, whether or not you you read this review and think to yourself is it's worth the 70$ price tag on steam is up to you. However, the game is free on gamepass in like a week and I don't regret spending the 25$ to play the game early.

Gonna wait for 40 percent sale, by then mods will hopefully be out, and bug fixes.
Why didn't you post this on the Microsoft store reviews for the game instead then, where you played it. That has a whole rating system with thumbs up & downs. You could have been a hero for the devs. You could have copy pasted this on there. But you want engagement after typing clearly.
"Slapstick dialogue options", similar to Outer Worlds? For me that was one of the most grating aspects of OW.
I would Hope that devs or some modder Will fix the terrible enemy variety, since I have seen that there are too many Bears also in nonsense Place, and It seems also that there aren't wyverns or dragons...which Is very disappointing in a PoE lore game. Let's Hope for a DLC soon at least that Will fix these issues.
I got to lv5, got into the main city.

Loving this game, playing as a mage. Story is solid. Combat is engaging.

No bugs or errors yet, and it runs fine on my 6yo pc.

Agreed I am having a blast, I had recently purchased a 7900XTX (and custom panel because it was practically kissing the glass on my hyte Y60) so I was looking forward to playing and putting it through its paces. Getting a consistent 90 fps at 1440p /w raytracing on so i cant complain too much about optimization (though it did crash once, but w/e took 2 seconds to load back up)

Combat feels weighty, and responsive, the impact reminds me of vermintide which is a good thing lol. People are going to complain because its a steam forum so...of course they will. If I listened to the complaints on any given steam forum I would literally never play anything lol. Nothing will ever be good enough for some hence why i dont bother arguing but for my money I agree with both you and the OP, I will recommend this one to any of my friends why enjoy action RPGS. Was worth the wait for me.

How is the combat fun the enemies hardly move and just stand there

I was originally responding to rofflesvanwagon I'm not sure how that ended up under your post.
To answer your question "how is the combat fun" There are a ton of different weapon combos you can string together, enemies ragdoll when you thwack them, execution animations are satisfying, hits feel impactful. I'm not sure if you play the game on Gamepass or not but the enemies definitely do not just "stand there" as you would suggest and you do a fair bit of dodging and running around.

Also I'd like to mention that I haven't run into a single bug in the game yet, maybe there are some issues with the steam version that I'm just not running into on gamepass.

What difficulty are you playing on?

Path of the Damned and the enemies are up my ass 24/7, not sure if this is a difficulty thing or what

No mods are needed, game is perfect as is right now.

Game looks legitimately fun to me. I like the light parkour it seems to have. Combat looks fun. Art style looks great. I'm excited to play a new RPG
