Loving this game, playing as a mage. Story is solid. Combat is engaging.
No bugs or errors yet, and it runs fine on my 6yo pc.
Agreed I am having a blast, I had recently purchased a 7900XTX (and custom panel because it was practically kissing the glass on my hyte Y60) so I was looking forward to playing and putting it through its paces. Getting a consistent 90 fps at 1440p /w raytracing on so i cant complain too much about optimization (though it did crash once, but w/e took 2 seconds to load back up)
Combat feels weighty, and responsive, the impact reminds me of vermintide which is a good thing lol. People are going to complain because its a steam forum so...of course they will. If I listened to the complaints on any given steam forum I would literally never play anything lol. Nothing will ever be good enough for some hence why i dont bother arguing but for my money I agree with both you and the OP, I will recommend this one to any of my friends why enjoy action RPGS. Was worth the wait for me.
To answer your question "how is the combat fun" There are a ton of different weapon combos you can string together, enemies ragdoll when you thwack them, execution animations are satisfying, hits feel impactful. I'm not sure if you play the game on Gamepass or not but the enemies definitely do not just "stand there" as you would suggest and you do a fair bit of dodging and running around.
Also I'd like to mention that I haven't run into a single bug in the game yet, maybe there are some issues with the steam version that I'm just not running into on gamepass.
Path of the Damned and the enemies are up my ass 24/7, not sure if this is a difficulty thing or what
