Sorry you're running into technical issues. Try switching from DLSS to TSR in the graphics settings. It helps prevent crashes for some players. TSR is built into the engine and provides a stable alternative while we look into the issue with DLSS.

Thanks for the quick reply. The game itself is really good so far but it's crazy how poorly the latest Unreal engine games run. I'll try TSR and tweaking a few settings as well.

It's because the 4090 is obsolete, get a 5090 or lower the settings a bit.
Its hilarious and they have been called out on youtube videos demonstrating that you can get UE5 to run fantastic if you approach it without being so incredibly lazy.
The fixes they're probably gonna try to do will just be to reduce the amount of mesh quality allowed on the screen until everybody is happy or something, instead of actually using good topology.
And that's just for nanite, I bet they've terribly implemented lumens system as well.
*Edit* ray tracing is on from the start too.
