Character Backgrounds options

Trying to make a dual-wielding dagger rogue/assassin type of character but having bit of trouble choosing the Backgrounds. Can't find much info explaining each background. Some are obvious.

Thinking either Vanguard scout or Court Augur? What is Court Augur? Says it wields the Shadows and Back alley fortune teller. Vanguard scout well sounds like ranger/hunter but also say operative.

Hmm sounds like Court Augur is best choice. Uses his silver tongue to convince or lie. Pinch of deception. Weilds the power of Shadows. Back alley mystic. So Im quessing its something close to Rogue/Assassin.

For second character is a warrior barbarian the choice is clear and that is War hero.

Noble scion seems to be somewhat rogueish, but I'm not sure dual wield works in this game. You can equip weapons in both hands but you seem to have the same delay on your other weapon as you do attacking again with one weapon, so you end up just sacrificing an off-hand ranged weapon or shield for no benefit.
