Matty's review is the most damning imo. He's a total fanboy but he's not a shill. If he says the game is mid...it's mid.
Who?
EXACTLY finally common sense.
Looks like this is not a roleplaying game. It's an action/adventure game with some rpg elements.
Well, shill is a strong word that I used. And yes, fanboy is a perfect descriptor of him.
Why would you trust this reviewer knowing who they are? They give games 2-3 more points than they should. So if he's saying that it's an 8.5/9 out of 10, expect for it to be a 6-7.
Dude, I got hooked by Shining in the Darkness back then on the MegaDrive (or Genesis in the US) and never lost my passion for (J)Rpgs but in this day and age I have to spend my money responsibly. And yes, trusting some Youtubers, even if they are much younger then I am, helps with that. But you do you, if you have the money freed up, go for it.
Not a trustworthy source of opinion. The dude plays every topic as safe as possible by grifting to the comment section. If it seems like people online don't want to like a game, he will make a review that reflects that. He rarely, if ever, takes a bold stance unless he knows it’ll be well-received. His reviews feel more like carefully calculated echoes of the loudest voices rather than genuine critiques.
