I can't believe they are gone . Idk who are these people using their name and fame but it ain't the Obsidian we knew for sure .

I guess I'll have to replay more New Vegas and Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2 since we won't be getting another 1

My thoughts exactly, RIP Obsidian, one of the greats... after Bioware's death wrangling we've seen in the last months, it's a pity to see another studio that delivered exceptional games during my childhood/youth go under (most likely), but it is what it is. I just removed this game from my wishlist... and such a pity as I was looking forward to it.

When Microsoft buy an studio every original developer is fired and they put new "raimbow soldiers". They just want the name of the studio, it was dead years ago. The real problem here is Microsoft and Sony, they are all in with woke stuff, don't buy games or consoles from them, I don't even use windows anymore.

Yeah I also removed it from my wishlist , even before the latest drama I had my doubts when they released that pre-order trailer with " 2 premium skins " .

Here's me thinking this was a fantasy action game, when in reality it is just another death rattle for a once decent game studio.

The people sticking up for Avowed are part of the problem, In fact I'd go as far as to say they ain't real gamers,
There's a much bigger problem here its not just about Pronouns any game that has taken the LGBTQ approach to its games have failed massively with its terrible character design uninteresting characters you can clearly see these people ain't out to try make a great game but to push an agenda onto us by sneaking this woke disease into their games to brain wash the younger audience.

On the bright side you can start playing your backlog, discover Niche games/Hidden Gems, and playing older games which the Locusts wont even bother touching because they cant/wont bother with it. I have accepted that Ratchet and Clank is a dead series to me thanks to Insomniac Spider-manified/Normiefied R&C's story and gameplay. Im also suspecting the locust's are going to destroy Sonic's garden soon, considering the strange censorship changes they did to the Shadow Generations remake and not to mention recent Sonic games have been getting DEI consultants like Frontiers and Forces.

And considering i been hearing people unsubing from Xbox gamepass, i think they're in the minority. Thanks to COD BO6 being easily accessible thanks to Gamepass ultimate. Normies are going to eat the slop without asking questions about it. So i expect, Microsoft wont be changing their practices soon.

Kinda sad, but it is what is 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Anyone had faith in Obisidian after Outer Worlds?
That game was such a bland, empty New Vegas wannabe with zero memorable quests and npcs. It was clear the Obsidian already lost all their talent and will to make actual games.
I bet all main guys behind NV and other hits left them long ago.

They do think that the existence of a few homosexual characters who fit into the setting and are treated in a manner you'd expect them to be treated is what constitutes that, as well as the Confirmed Bachelor / Cherche la Femme perks (which are an inferior choice to many other things, generally speaking) being there.

Never mind the fact that it also has a perk allowing you to be a, egads, "bigot" (Sneering Imperialist), has one of said homosexual characters display obvious mysoginy (Manny Vargas), dares portray a pre-war genius tycoon in a positive light (the piss that was the TV show wouldn't have butchered him to fit the modern narrative otherwise), lets you side with a militaristic slaver regime (and if they had more time to develop the game, would have had a lot more content for them), has perhaps the most badass and at the same time down-to-earth portrayal of a religious zealot (Joshua Graham - written by Sawyer himself, no less, somehow!)...

Point being, the current treatment of anything displaying signs of being even remotely "woke" (blergh) has to do with oversaturation and exhaustion more than anything. Small instances that existed in the older games felt not like pandering or particular devs going off their rocker for the sake of showing the "chuds" (urgh) what for, but instead were either organic in nature or there for the sake of humour. And today you can't laugh at anything unless you are part of the clique being laughed at, apparently. No thought police present at all, no.

So true . Yeah I'm already playing/replaying PS2 games on the emulator and some of the RTS greats from the 90's and early 00's . Feels so much better than the recent crap we are getting besides maybe Black Myth Wukong .

People were so hyped about The Outer Worlds and everyone was saying its gonna be the Fallout killer and ♥♥♥♥ like that but it ended up real bad . I finished that game in a couple of hrs I hated it so much , not 1 good thing about it . We cut them some slack since it was a new IP ...

Also people wanted Avowed to be the Elder Scrolls killer too , frankly I did too since we are waiting too long for The Elder Scrolls 6 but its gonna be worse than The Outer Worlds even. What to expect now since Microsoft owns both Bethesda and Obsidian ... Idk man its just sad ...
