I've played fallout new vegas for over 100 hours and i still love it, and i didnt mean to say that the devs who made fallout new vegas have grown out of touch, i meant to say they aren't even here anymore, they got scooped up by other studios. And saying 2024 obsidian has the same values as 2010 obsidian is crazy, what a bad faith argument.
Apparently you either never played that game or are making ♥♥♥♥ up to have an argument.
Edit:
Well look at that, you deleted your comment, go figure ;)
Sawyer is kind of left leaning guy. I respect him as a creator but i don't share his views. (which is perfectly fine)
The people that left Obsidian from the top of my head are Chris Avellone (Obsidian founder and writer; left Obsidian because he feuded with another found iirc) and John Gonzales (New Vegas writer; left to write Horizon Zero Dawn, i heard now he makes mobile games). But I did saw some yt videos that most of the original devs are still there. I did some digging on the art director that made the weirdo comments and that he was in Obsidian since POE1 days.
And yet, the problem never has been "Gay character" or "Black character", but rather "Crap character" or "Unrelatable character", a problem that is now massive in the Western entertainment industry. It also unfortunately has left the side effect that people have an uncharitable view of anything gay in modern releases, even if something is a genuine effort. All because of talwntless hacks who can't write a gay character beyond "This is the gay character, being gay is an important part of them."
I get you, but he retweeted this message:

Was OW woke ? Or just weak ?
if your claim had any merit this entire thread would've been deleted
The developers also have moderation status.
For instance, I was permanently banned from Dragon Age: The Veilguard's steam forums by BioWare for "bigotry" when I said the lead writer, Patrick Weekes, was incompetent. I appealed it and Steam told me that it was BioWare that permanently banned me.
BioWare also took the time to delete every post I made in The Veilguard's forums, scrubbing me and everything I said from that forum from existence. Must have really rubbed them the wrong way when I said Patrick Weekes was incompetent.
But that's a terrible precedent. If devs are given moderator status, they can go full-on thought police mode, which is exactly what you can expect from raging DEI fanatics. Censorship is their #1 tool.
