Probably the first and last Obsidian game I'll ever play though by the looks of things
They're honestly one of my favorite dev teams, having played and liked/loved 7 of their games. But, we'll see what the future brings.
Newest was The Outer Worlds. Enjoyed it well enough but the limitations of a AA production were impossible to just gloss over. The biggest disappointment of that game, in the grand scheme of things, was the perks. There's nothing stopping a AA game from having a fantastic perk system but the brutal truth is that when I hit the level cap I still had several unspent points because the perk tree was just that boring.
Until the art director sabotaged the game, that was my biggest worry about Avowed: that the lack of skill revealed by ToW's perk tree would manifest again in Obsidian's latest.
I also played Pentiment and it was very good. Had a smattering of minor environment and dialogue bugs that I painstakingly documented. It's easy to think of Pentiment as being separate from Obsidian proper since it was basically Josh Sawyer's personal project.
