Which RPG are you gonna buy and play in February 2025?

Monster Hunter Wilds beats all other February Releases

Honestly I fully expect Kingdom Come Deliverance II to require some time on the vine after it's launched. I'd be pretty dumb to buy it on day one.

For Feb the only launch that matters is Monster Hunter: Wilds. The only other game I'll be looking at will GTA6 and I'm skeptical as hell of it.

My sights are set on MHWilds and KCD2. I have no idea if any other good games are coming out in February, but this trash and We Wuz Samurai N ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are certainly not it.

Normally yes, I'd be lining up. But Infinite Wealth left a sour taste in my mouth. So much so that I not only never beat it but I also haven't felt the itch to go back and do so. Obviously the mood of Pirate Yakuza is blatantly the opposite of "you play somebody dying of cancer and spend 25% of the game on a reminiscing minigame" but caution is still advised.

Kingdom Come...genuine game that sticks to it's own Internal logic.
No sudden insertion of modern political sensibilities to make the devs feel all warm and fluffy.

I'll actually buy MH Wilds in February. I'll buy Pirate Yakuza down the line.

KCD2 though...that's the wild card. If I can somehow finish KCD1 before Feb, then I'll probably buy KCD2. But that outlook isn't so good given my current pace.
