Was interested in Avowed until the art director's racist/woke tweets

I can deal with woke characters or elements in a videogame, as long as the game is good. Case in point: Baldur's Gate 3. One of the best RPGs of all time, has a little bit of woke stuff you can safely ignore(or handle durge style).

Larian however wasn't attacking their own audience because a large chunk of them do not care for woke politics. Avowed's Art Director however has, and it's clear that if he's so openly spewing this hateful garbage, the rest of the team likely shares his views.

I thought Outer Worlds was a pretty mid RPG, with bland story and characters, but I was eager to see if Obsidian could finally put out another banger like Fallout: New Vegas was. It's clear now however that Obsidian, like Bioware, is is a shell of it's former self and has chosen to alienate it's own audience for woke politics.

But hey, whatever. Another dead studio that was once a gem... For every dead Bioware, we have a Warhorse Studios. Speaking of which, KCD2 comes the same month as Avowed and definitely where my money is going instead.
