THE game is already finished! they are just fixing bugs and running final QA scripts.
nobody leaves unfinished interface of any kind for the last few months, it would be insanity.
Many games reach a finished state and are never released...did you know that?

those last few months are nothing but scrub and polish in a big bath full of legal documents and last minute patches.

Okay, fine, the game's finished. There might be issues that their trying to iron out with the CC. Your assuming facts not in evidence.

I'm making assumptions, yes but they are very very well supported assumptions. Games created by development teams who leave things like character creation until the last minute don't make release dates. You just haven't worked in the industry so you don;t understand how unprofessional and disorganized that would be.


you just have to take my word for it, without a very high degree of organisation and schedule keeping games don't even release at all.

Avowd's original date was this year, it got pushed back to February next year.

Sorry, I'm not taking anyone's word for anything. People are going ballistic over two words seen in a character sheet that, for all we know, could be toggled off in the Options menu. People were going ballistic over pronouns in Starfield's CC and that option was only seen ONCE. It was never mentioned or seen again unless you visited a place called Enhance(a vendor that let you change your character).

He's making correct assumptions. There is simply no logical reason why they would give copies to streamers if the CC wasn't ready. It is ready, in fact no streamer (to my knowledge) said that it's incomplete, just that they aren't allowed to show it.

Obsidian released a video 3 months ago with a title character creation in it but it had zero character creation in it.. which is odd as.

Also the same video had no pronouns in the character sheet.

The devs don't want you to see all the "Body Type 1" and "Body Type 2" gendermancy from the character creation this early. They saw how that went for Bethesda and Starfield. They prefer it when gamers have less information, make an uninformed purchase, and are unpleasantly surprised by all the "He/Him, Xe/Xir, Wae/Wum, Hurr/Durr" stuff.

So why add a 5 day early access where people will just show others it anyway.
