Black screen playing on Quest through VD

Sadly not, works for me so far.

Are you using SteamVR or VDXR runtime in the VD server? For me it runs through VDXR.

Make sure that Meta Quest Link is set as the active OpenXR Runtime in the Oculus app under "settings, general".

Thanks for the suggestion, didn't seem to fix it but setting VDXR runtime in VD did seem to fix it.

I had the same problem.
I tried with Quest 3 with the following modes:
1) Air Link (set OpenXR runtime) --> Black screen
2) Virtual desktop with OpenXR set to VDXR --> worxs
3) Steam link --> Black screen

I get a crash when trying to launch via steam link. Sounds like I should try with VD. Anyone successfully run it via Steam link?

I had to use VD

I've been running exclusively via Steam Link for weeks. Today, it crashes immediately when I try to launch.

Last week, I had no issue running it through VD countlessly. Today, I updated my Nvidia driver to the latest one. Also updated my Oculus PC app to Meta Quest Link PC app. After I noticed this discussion, I gave the game a try and I got a black screen too. I found a workaround though:

1. Launch Virtual desktop in your Quest 3.
2. Instead of launching the 7th guest through the GAMES tab, launch SteamVR first (the button above the quit button).
3. In SteamVR, open the steam menu, then library and launch the game from there.
4. The game should launch correctly.

Im really disappointed that i cant play this at the moment after picking up the humble bundle out of all the games in it this one looks right up my street. i really do not want to have to spend money on VD for my quest 2 to play this when steam link works just fine for everything else. I hope that this issue gets fixed asap

Works no issue for me, just finished a session with Steam Link. Maybe reinstall SteamVR.

One of the good things about VD is that the dev fixes stuff like this.

I prefer Steam Link för Steam games, but this time it didn't work.

I'll try with VDXR and to be honest I'm pretty sure it will work. Otherwise you'll see me back here after reporting the issue to the VD dev.
