Virtual Desktop Quest 3 Stutter / Jitter
When I launch the game using Virtual Desktop from my Quest 3 (directly launching the game Virtual Desktop "Game" menu), the game will stutter / jitter when it reaches the main menu. I don't experience this kind of problem with other games running on Virtual Desktop. The stutter/jitter only started when the game menu UI appears. Prior to it appearing, I can look around and turn around smoothly like butter. It will happen regardless of what graphic settings I use or how low I set the resolution to be. The runtime being used by Virtual Desktop to run this game is SteamVR runtime. My pc is more than capable to play this game at high resolution @ max setting: i9 10900k, 16GB ram, 1TB SSD, RTX 3080, LAN ethernet connected to Wifi 6 router, Quest 3 connected to the same Wifi 6 network using 5GHz. I don't know what is the problem.

When I launch the game using "Steam Link" app in my Quest 3, the game seems to run fine, but I prefer to use Virtual Desktop as it gives better visuals and graphic fidelity.

There are some users suggesting to disable OpenXR Toolkit to make it playable, but I dont know how to do that. I dont even have OpenXR Toolkit Companion app installed in the first place, but I tried it anyway. After installing the app and opening it, I could not find any setting to disable the 7th Guest from running it.

Can anyone help? Developers? Guy Godin? Anyone? Thank you

Hello. I have exactly the same issue. Have been playing with SteamVR instead...

steam link here. It jutters up and down for me. from time to time Not sure if that's just the game. Otherwise, pretty good performance. Gameplay-wise, I do wish I could set stuff down and it would stay there. I guess it needs to do that so you can complete the puzzles correctly. But I think it would be more immersive if stuff stayed where I put it regardless. Small complaint though.

But really, the game itself is incredible! Beautifully done. Really loved the original when a lady at a PC/Amiga store demonstrated it trying to sell me a PC. I did eventually get both. But the version here is so far above that one... I'll actually complete it this time.

Gameplay is great, technic isn´t.
It is the first game where i see jitters like this. Playing in VR since 3 years and got much VR-Games, from Vertiigo Games also. All were fine. So i can´t understand why only this game makes so much troubles. (on Pico 4 by SteamVR)

Having a similar problem. Quest 3, Virtual Desktop. Launching the game from the VD's game menu. Main menu is jittery, but otherwise the game runs fine, until...

Every time I complete a new room, it becomes super jittery/stuttery and I end up having to exit/restart the game. It's a super odd problem and I have no idea why it would be doing this unless it's somehow related to achievements popping up since you get one each time you finish a room. I tried disabling Steam overlay, but that didn't fix it. Not sure what else to do aside from disabling achievements completely.

Super awesome game otherwise, and I appreciate studios like this that are giving us actual quality VR games and not just glorified tech demos. I'm loving every minute of it! Cheers!

I could reduce the jitter. Didn´t remember of this but i had active the "Motion Smoothing"-Option in SteamVR. Normally i don´t need this option because my hardware is strong enough for the 72 FPS on the HMD.
After deactivation in SteamVR the game runs much smoother. Not perfect but good enough.
Also i changed the build from SteamVR_Temp to actual Beta.

Strange thing happens that sometimes my char moved itselfs without inputs from me.
