This.
Nobody believes that this is a bug any more. The mechanics of all straight npc is implemented from the beginning. I guess they thought that leaving the choice of sexual attraction when creating the character was enough. But of course, the gameplay is not the same.
Realising that most of the target audience in games like the Sims 4 are gays and women, they have to implement it from the beginning. They have also seen that the opponents of these mechanics are political and religious movements from the most zealot and ultramontane part of the West. And they are not going to buy the game.
I guess since it's a new mechanic, and it needs to be tested and polished it will come out with the major patch in May. The fact that they disguise it as a bug is indicative that they will fix it. Patience.
They've been trying to have their cake and eat it too by including gays as an option while at the same time making all NPC's straight to avoid scaring off conservative players. By doing this they've managed to piss off both the "wokes" and the conservatives so now they're trying to figure out how to navigate this mess.
I guess they will have to make a decision sooner or later. And because in the end it's a sales issue and religious fundamentalists don't usually play these games, they'll end up doing something like the sims.
Or not. Who knows. They are making something highly configurable from the start. Anyway, that they have their own vision of what a sims style life simulator should be like is refreshing.
0.000001% of the player base, nobody cares. Get a life.
for me it is not a critical error, everyone has different priorities.
they either have other priorities. or the bug takes longer to fix and test.
why complain with every update that what you want is not included.
They announced it as a bug and said they would fix it. then they will publish it when it is ready. Patience is a virtue..
I would love to see the source on that claim...
Look for it if you are interested. If not, don't look for it.
