Is there a way to assign rooms???

Most of the zoi I have are roommates and they sleep in any bed. everyone sleeps anywhere. When you click on a bed there is "Assign seat" but it doesn't work

Assign beds, not room. But the owner can assign rooms to him/herself.

door locking control. the first and eldest zoi is usually one that has control of the lots door locks. So switch control to that zoi, click the door in question and set permissions for everyone then go into the zoi you want to have control of the door and set it only for themselves.

Always assign the bed. I don't know if you can assign specific doors to specific zois. but if so you can also do that and only allow that zoi into the room.

Thank you all. Assign door is interesting but you can't assign to specific zois (I hope in future updates). I will keep assigning beds but sometimes i got the feeling it works, and sometimes zois do anything

I fully agree. Although beds can be assigned, assigning rooms would be very interesting. Just today something happened to me that made me really mad.

Right now my zoi is in the process of breeding and already has a daughter. That daughter has her own room and bed assigned to her. Everything is fine up to this point. The problem is when my zoi and his wife who were next to their room decided to go to the other side of the house (to the daughter's room) to change clothes to sleep. And the daughter changed in her parents' room.

Suddenly it seemed like the game was trolling me.

The bed assigning is a bit weird though.

For queen beds you "Assign Seat" instead of bed, but it works the same as assigning beds on a single bed.

That said, your Zois will still sometimes end up in the wrong bed. I've even had Zois decide to sleep on a bench...outside...instead of going upstairs to their own bed.

Amusingly, when my married couple decided to bad a baby instead of heading to the back of the house to their own master bedroom they decided to do the deed in the bed of the wife's sister....while the sister was working on her PC next to the bed. lol

I have to agree with this, I get some of the dressers are for decorative purposes even in some of the normal default homes. But its a bit silly they decide to walk to the absolute furthest dresser away from their bed. Though this peeve has been with me since sims 2 where my sim chooses the closet thats in the complete other room. Assignable doors would fix this issue all together and be less hassle than making every piece of furniture assignable per zoi. This is the same issue with where they go to eat, they always eat at some awkward location most of the time other than the table or at least the couch watching TV. Though here i am writing up a post on steam eating a bowl of soup while making this response at my desk.

Likewise, I get so confused when a zoi changes on the second floor in someone else's room, to go to sleep on the 1st.

I just had this happen in my game too where a zoi left her room and went into someone elses to change. I am also constantly having zois going into each others rooms to use objects that either they have in their own rooms or int shared spaces of the house. I really hope they add a door assignment feature like in the sims where you can have only specific zois go through a door (and not the way it is now where only the head of the house can control stuff, I want my couples rooms to be private to the two of them alone)
