Eating at Desk?

Why does my ZOI always choose to eat at her desk instead of at the perfectly functional bar or dining table in the kitchen? It's not like she's multitasking.

It's related to pathing. From where she made it to where the desk was it was the shortest path. Though now this calculation don't seem to account for walls. But even in all Sims titles, this issue was there. I would honestly be completely stunned if this game managed to fix the long time issue of a character eating dinner on the toilet/desk/or anywhere that isn't the dining table or wherever you desire them to eat. What I do is manually walk them sit them down on the chair then tell them to eat.

It just needs an extra option. Click on the chair and choose "Eat something, read a book, or have a conversation". Seems mighty complicated, but maybe there are some really bright minds in Krafton's staff. Don't ask me, I only see complications.

it may need an option to set a table as dining table, like they eventually did in the sims with the sink, so finally you could make your sim not wash dishes in the bathroom:D

Not 100% precent prove, but I have maybe found a logic solution (but well it is a game with it´s own source xD...)

I found out so far, that Zois maybe prefer dining-chairs to sit down to eat.

I love the pink dining-chair, so I put it in my office. I also had a bigger kitchen with a bar and barstools and next to a Sofa. But my Zoi always decided to eat in the office which was placed farest away from the kitchen.

I had also an outside picknick-bench were my BBQ-Grill was, but same thing. She always went to the only dining chair in the house in my office with the office-desk.

So I think if you want to have your ZOIs dining in the kitchen or at the BBQ-Place you need a dining area.

I do some testing tonight, and if I found out something else I will correct it.

Maybe as barista is splitted from cooking the ZOIs prefer while drinking coffee barstools and a bar. (my Zoi will get a coffee-machine with the new house today).

Some kitchen in the ingame-starterhomes are using small stools (like the blue one in one of the Starter-Bliss-Homes) instead of dining chairs.
