inZOI
Just a heads up if you have a family in this game
idk if it's common knowledge or what, but if you left click + drag, you enter a free form camera, which means the camera is no longer following any specific zoi. while in this state, you can switch to other zois without having to worry about any loading time inbetween. it may not make a huge difference, but for those with slower computers or if you even just want to check up on a zoi's status who's far away without all the loading inbetween, this is one way of doing it.

Good to know. Also,
TAB - shoulder view
CTRL + TAB - alternate camera view
And I think Esc gets you out of this mode as well.

Yep, you can play every Zoi that lives in the city. Some times I just switch to see how it is to play an other family. But I always go back to my main before she starts bickering at home and screws over her perfect relation and karma. She is (I think) currently lifting the karma up for the whole city.

I knew about the first one but had no idea of the second. thanks. hot keys make things so much easier, but it's such a drag to learn them all haha.

I can't leave my family alone for one second. They just start arguing with eachother even though their love is maxxed out. I checked to see if there's like deeper relationship mechanics where they're just incompatible, irregardless of whether they're maxxed out in love or not. But I couldn't find anything. I fear that if I leave them alone for 5 mintues, I'll come back to chalk body lines and yellow do not cross tape around the house.

also whatever speed you play on , if you press that key it pauses the game and press it again to go back to it running at that speed
Other keybinds I found useful

I - Toggle build mode.
Useful to move items around after the zoi places them when taken out of the bag.
M - Map.
Useful to get to the schedule (haven't found the keybind for that yet)
P - Phone
T - Toggle Zoi's autonomy
O - Zoi card
Space - Toggle between zois you control.

Other useful stuff
Often it is easier to click on the need icon (bathroom, sleep, hunger, hygiene etc) than clicking on the toilet seat, or bed or whatever to meet the need. Especially if the bathroom, bedroom or kitchen is not in your current view. Also helps when outdoors. With autonomy, the zoi finds the nearest bathroom or eating joint.

Use Autonomy (T) and switching between zoi's (Space) for a better control experience.

Not every, apparently. My gigolo spotted a new target but could not greet her. Kept getting a message that she was busy, So i tried to take control of her to cancel whatever she was doing but the little "Play" arrow just did not appear for her.

UI mostly tried to pick compatible personalities. Or at least personalities I thought would be compatible.

My family is Victor, the Soon-to-Be Crimelord and Gigolo. Head of the family. He is Authoritarian/Adventure

His wife is Annika, and she's a Collaborator/Family Oriented. Figured that would make her suitably submissive and less likely to divorce him when she catches him cheating on her every five minutes. Originally she was gonna be mostly a homekaer with alot of singing/performance practice to have her do some Busking for cash, but I just started her Lawyer career. Which on the one hand is good for someone with a crimelord husband, but maybe not so good when that husband is also a philandering Gigolo...we'll see. One must embrace the chaos and savor the melodrama in a game like this.

Then Irina, who is Annika's sister and a bit of an edgey emo goth rocker girl. She's Individualist/Freedom and to what little extent there is some conflict in the home it's usually from her...but not as much as you'd think. I'm still trying to find a way to add her to Victor's Gigolo-list but there's no romance options available when talking to her. I guess even though she's not blood related the game still considers her "family". Sigh. She's currently developing as a Programmer, though I initially used her as an Artist and sold her paintings for my early game Cash when i was trying not to use the money cheat.

Then is Kira, who really only got added in because it was the only way to make Annika and Irina sisters. So she's their mom. She is Sentinel/Stability. I had breifly considered banishing her or trying to kill her off but I decided to actually put her to use cooking, homemaking, and writing/reading alot which gave her the right skills to become a teacher at the school.

And entirely on her own she struck up some mildly flirty relationships with two elderly gentleman neighbors. Which i'll tolerate only because the same prohibition keeping Victor from Gigoloing Irina applies to Kira too. Sigh. No GILF action allowed.

It's not too surprising that Family-focused Collaborator and Stability-focused Sentinel don't stir up too much trouble but I honestly expected some friction between the authoritarian and individualist. But they have a great relationship. Like, if they were allowed to Bone by the game they'd totally be boning.

Maybe it's his Charm/Rhetoric/Fitness? All maxed out at this point.

Why? Just click anywhere on the screen and the "focus" goes away. :steeped2024:
