confused about 3D printer

I wonder if I understand the 3D printer in InZOI correctly. If I take a picture of a chair, upload it to the 3D printer, it will make a model of this chair in the game, right? If so, can Zoi sit on such a chair, or are the objects from the 3D printer currently just decorative objects that cannot be interacted with? Sorry if this question sounds stupid, but it is not clear to me

You can not interact with the 3d printed items. A chair wouldn't work really well. Think of it as more like making art pieces. You however can make items your Zoi can wear. but again it's only cosmetic

I heard you need .png and above images with transparency in it for it to work properly.

You would have to also set one or more sitting animations for the item you 3d print over to the game. You can make anything interact able but there are more steps then just take pictures, plug into 3d software and convert to inZOI. There will be a full modders kit put together in roughly 6months which will help make this process a lot easier for those that are not use to modding.

Your confusing making a 3D object and adding it to the game with the built in 3D AI printer in the game. The 3D printer in the game does not interactable items. They are decor only.

What you are talking about is making a 3D item in unreal 5 and importing it in to the game with mods.

It depends what you are trying to make. But yes .PNG is best to used. However if you use a none .PNG image the AI part of the game will try to cut out what is not part of the main image. So lets say you upload an image of a car on a road, the game will try to remove the road and just be of the car. But this doesn't work 100% well all the time.
