asian way of doing things are different from the west,
they tend to have more restrictions and rules.

i wonder about the restrictions and things that are not allowed in the main game.

1-will there be story progression or death or random disasters leading to death?

2-can you even cheat or do adultery on your spouse or GF and be in multiple relationship? monogamy is probably guaranteed,
im not sure about polygamy & will there even be a jealousy system?

3-how will they handle the family tree system? in games like the sims 4>steps or in law family are not recognized.

4-will the AI even be smart or is it as dumb and simplified as the ones in the sims 4.

modding games like these to allow for basic things in is a pain in the a$$.

Very true. There's actually a sub genre of soup opera in Chinese TV show/novel that's called 宫斗(palace/harem battle) where an emperor, or lord's harem members try to fight for their husband's favour through schemes, secret murder, infanticide and even sometimes regicide.

Although I get the impression the kind of harem OP is referring to is the kind where they basically all act as obedient slaves to their master.

You will have all this and more with mods. Investigate WickedWhims as an example. The SIMs mod community is bigger than the game itself and inZoi should be the same way.
