Offline?

Ok so my partners husband has this on pc but not from steam and he is able to play offline im just wanting to confirm this is the case before i buy this can it be played fully offline like he is no internet at all kind regards steve

I’m actually not sure about steam’s policy on it but it’s possible that if you get it from the epic game store, you might be able to play off-line. I haven’t tested it myself, but I do have the steam version. I’ve been thinking about trying to see if it could be played off-line. I mean they removed the denuvo DRM so it’s possible you could probably play it off-line since there’s no security check software in the game

i can confirm through my partner that is saying he had his from a well known sauce but that's all i know he has no internet at home

I bet he was online at some moment, downloaded it and went back home to play it. This a very wrong moment to play offline, since changes are made almost every day. Soon there will be updates, didn't he explain how those will be downloaded. Someone is fooling somebody. You should ask about updates, fixes and expansions. I bet you learn more from him than you will learn from us.

Pirates know how to do that, and Steam works offline too. It always has been like that. Maybe inZoy still works when you start Steam offline.

yeah I see in settings there is an option to go offline, I never tried that to play offline in a game. So has anyone tried using that offline to play this game?

They still need to get on the internet to access steam in the first place or download it from anywhere . Unless it is a pirate copy someone else downloaded and put on a stick for them

A problem occured with stream authenticator error came up..
So yes you have to be online to play..

I've just refunded this game for the 2nd time (😅) but while playing within the two hour timeframe I've noticed that you gotta start the game online while steam is running or you get a steam authentication error. But after starting to play you can go offline. And ofcourse while being offline you won't be using Canvas probably. I've haven't used canvas at all because it wanted me to create account, verify it and blah blah, so not sure about it. But that's what I saw -- start the game online and once in game I was able to play offline..

Canvas uses your Steam account. No need to give them information that Steam already has.
