Potential Linux Solution
Here is a potential solution for those using Linux based operating systems.

1 - open Linux terminal (make you closed Steam application)
2 - type in the following command: 'sudo apt update && sudo apt -y upgrade' (this will ensure all of the main software are up to date)
3 - type in the following command: 'clear' (this will clear the terminal)
4 - install ProtonUp-QT (this can be installed from Linux Mint software manager) which I highly recommend
5 - Execute the ProtonUp-QT (It should of established connection with your steam information)
6 - The application gui will have about two pre-installed applications; LegacyRuntime and maybe Proton BattlEye Runtime
7 - Click add version
8 - Click the 'Compatibility tool' drop down menu
9 - Search select the latest GE-Proton (mine is GE-Proton9-27) if ProtonGE does show on the list, you have to install the main file itself. Can be found by typing 'ProtonGE installation guide' in your search engine
10 - click install
11 - Start your steam application
12 - Go to your Library tab
13 - Right click on Inzoi
14 - Click the 'Compatibility' tab
15 - Activate 'Force the use of a...' by clicking the checkbox
16 - Select the latest ProtonGE
17 - Start the game
...
.......
Profits!

No issue starting up the game through proton experimental, starting a new save or loading an older save either.

Glad experimental worked for you but it did not work for me.
