Careers
Skills
"Woo-Hoo"ing
Potty
Family
Friends
Driving
It takes time to format these so please feel free to give your input on some of these ideas, or share your own if you've got some!
Another thread to call attention to from the same user, who keeps people entertained for 600 posts (I hope they close it after the report).

We have a new one from someone who won't buy the game if it doesn't have achievements.
Don't take the bait again
I'm trying to limit the TOTAL number of achievements to something less than 100, but the skill and job achievements alone could easily get up to the 50s (meaning the "Have a ZOI max x skill" achievements)
So I'm wondering if I should consider condensing those achievements into one. On one hand, it's not feasible to say "Have a ZOI master ALL skills", BUT you also don't want to have 50 different "master x skill" achievements (maybe? maybe you do want 50 different ones)
Personally, I'm all for "the more the merrier" in terms of amounts of achievements, but I would like to get some other opinions, before I take the time to write up every possible skill achievement individually.
Is it worth it to split them up? Or should I try to condense them somehow? If so: what's the best way to condense them into something feasible for players?
Which do you think don't fit (and why, if you have time)?
Are you kidding me? Do you really think I'm going to take your usual bait of asking questions instead of answering?
I am not interested in achivements in games, you don't own the game and you're not going to buy it because it probably won't have achievements and you have a foolish exhausting thread about this issue. (linked above).
Are you starting a new thread in case the other one is closed? How many more will you start on the same topic?
Your first feedback (and only because people are kind):
You score ONE.
So, really you don't have any better to do with your life?

When Sims 3 came out, I made a Sim that was a kleptomaniac, and I tried to survive on thievery alone. Amazingly, I was able to manipulate "friends" so that I could shower/pee/poop in their house, before STEALing their furniture and adding it to my own house. It was rad.
Great ideas, thanks for the input! I will try to work some of these into the list.

Edit: if you really mean it.. If you had made the first thread like this, it might not have gotten so out of hand. Mike seems to have become your arch enemy. lol
No, no, he isn't taking me seriously or wasting any time on me. I mean, almost all of his posts are following me and responding to me, but not because he takes me seriously. He knows I'm a just a silly troll that he can ignore, that's why he responds to me so frequently.
But yeah something about that other thread was just causing hostility, and there were a few people absolutely demanding that it end, so I figured it would be better to create a different thread, one more focused on a topic that can move forward. There will certainly still be some people who will still be mad, but there's only so much you can do.
I like your suggestions a lot. Some are the kind of things that players will naturally reach through typical gameplay, some are things you'd have to directly strive for, and some are truly achievements: longform goals that players can work towards and feel satisfaction when reaching. Great ideas, Syn!
the problem with that other thread is that it has ran its course, and it wasn't about suggesting the potential for achievements, it was to discuss why there aren't achievements already in the game.
while i agree the issues are similar, they are still separate on their purpose.
I'm glad you understand the difference between the two. Idk why they think I'm "opening the same topic" when it's clear I'm not. But that's Mike for you, you have to just let him do his thing. He's on a mission.
He's banned for a reason.
