Cheating
Call me crazy, but I had hoped to create the perfect couple and have a family and live happily ever after lol. Unfortunately it appears these Zoi's seem to cheat like crazy lol! I guess from what I researched it maybe a cultural thing lol. My chic and her boyfriend were to the point of best friends and true loves and the next day he's browsing online for a date lol. I thought maybe he needed more attention, so I sent her in there to speak with him and ask him if he wanted to go on a date and he dismissed her and told her he would speak with her tomorrow! LMAO!!! I laugh about it, but honestly it killed the dream, I don't want my chick to marry some dude who's going to treat her like she's an option when it's convenient for him! I had hoped she was on her way to having a husband, children and a happy family, but now I have no desire to even play... I mean if that's how all relationships in the game are structured and from what I've read on line it seems to be the case, I lack a desire to even play at this point. I feel fortunate in the sense that my Zoi didn't get married, as a real life coworker actually got married in game had a baby and three days later her husband cheated on her! OMG WTF! No thanks! What a FCKing turn OFF!

Well, people complain about how easy it is to get a partner in the game. Who says partner, says one or 10. In a couple of days you can have half the city as “love of your life”.

In reality what has happened to you is that randomly when you ask for a date there is a chance (I don't know the percentage) that you will be rejected. But if you do it again a few seconds later it is possible that he or she accepts.

Anyway, the dating system is optional. I mean you can set the romantic relationship to the maximum and get married without a date. And because the dating event is actually quite incomplete (just a few interactions and most of them don't work) it's better to skip even this feature until they improve it.
If iirc South Korea decriminalized adultery which increased infidelity.
