Welfare checks
The whole system of welfare cheques kinda beats the purpose of earning money. I wanted to start small so i moved all my money to a random family and wanted to work my way up, having a small box home with bed and a shaower+toilet. But the second i seem to go below 1K Meows the game insists on sending me 2k meows.
This system beats the purpose of even having a job because i know if ill buy furniture and go below 1k i will get more money to spend and continue furnishing the house.
I dont seem to find an option to disable this? Hope devs will address this soon and adjust it

I imagine "game over by bankruptcy" is not something that's in the game yet, so there's a safety net that will probably get adjusted.

Submit feedback to them on discord and for now treat 2K meuws as 0 meuws. As in, if you fall down to 2K, you're no longer allowed to use your cash.
I feel the same way and also posted my concerns with it. This will cause some of us to get bored fast, in my eyes it's no different than money cheat which is what I was avoiding from the beginning. Also why I bought the most expensive house with the starter money the game gave me, to give me that mild panic. Receiving the bank low interest text right after just soured the experience for me.

I'm optimistic they will find a work around for this dilemma. If anything, I'd like a way to disable it and be punished by bank loans and repossession of some sort, live off benches at the park etc.

Thats right, totally agree with you. It's a bit of a buzz kill for me when everything is handed in so easily, where's the struggle? I really hope they at least add some sort of a toggle option.
Just as mirta000 said at the moment ill just pretend 2k meows is the new $0, though it's a bit annoying having to calculate while purchasing things to not go below the threshold.

Expanding on high interest rates and having some sort of a bad credit score could be a great addition to the game and force people to be mindful with their spending habits that could lead to some rough situations.
A friend of mine mentioned you only get the welfare 3 times? I havent tested it yet, will let you know when i do.

I got it more than 3 times already. I also don’t like that I have to be mindful of hitting 2k and think it’s at zero, that can’t be avoided when I leave my zoi to free roam when I marry to my 2nd zoi soon. That just sounds annoying to me tbh. I also don’t think bankruptcy is a real game over with how they have jobs set up, especially when jobs can be easily attained without any sort of interview/trial, getting paid daily etc.

We’ll see how they develop it later down the line.

Yep, there's definitely a need to tweak these systems. Even i think item pricing is too low or salaries too high. It's way too easy to obtain money to purchase whatever you want
It's a terrible feature. Hope it can be toggled off soon!

Same here. I actually have lost interest in job advancement and money making due to this welfare feature, and I’ve only been playing for less than 30hrs.
What do you want to happen when you go below zero, literal game over, can't play on with that Zoi that you spent hours crafting and playing? If there's not free money then what exactly is different if the game continues but you're playing in the red? Also.. you wouldn't be able to eat food or run your electricity so your Zoi is probably just going to die, is that desired gameplay?

Even if you're doing a 'start from zero' busking playthrough, or especially if you are, surely you're not expecting a roguelike experience? You busked for a dozen hours and are enjoying it but oh you hit the red so game over? I mean as an option sure but not by default..

Most players would be extremely unhappy if they got a game over or forced restart, so they added this for their sake, until later on when there's detailed features like probably manually claiming money or asking for money from relatives/friends or taking a part time work for cash, or selling of car/house items, etc

I mean death is part of the gameplay. To avoid death you push to achieve to live paycheck to paycheck, even if that means borrowing money from the bank, and get this in InZoi it’s low interest rates - shocking!

I mean not all players are created equal and in that sense I have no issue with my first zoi dying due to the lack of funds to feed herself and starting over with a new zoi such as her soon to be npc zoi husband. Just like aging adjustment settings, there can sure be a welfare toggle settings for players too.

We don’t all play the same so having these settings would be nice. The no home, no money can all be recovered in this game simply due to the immediate job offers being readily available, with payments after each work day. There are vending machines/food truck/shop that can slowly feed the zoi and benches to nap on, while also being able to eat at some work places. The possibilities are endless without this welfare feature and can make for a fun gameplay for some of us.

That’d be nice. I’m trying to lvl my cooking on my zoi and she has food in her bag like a squirrel. Idk we can’t store food in the fridge, it’s such an oversight.

Very simple to answer this. Most games have implemented a loan system which would fix these issues. And for starters a simple toggle on and off on welfare would work wonders to accomodate players who want hand holding and the ones who dont. As of for now I too stopped playing Inzoi and lost the buzz for it because to the play style i enjoy is simulating life and climbing the "corporate" ladder per se is redundant simply because of the infinite welfare checks you get before u even hit $0
I understand the game is in early access and it already has probably more features than competitors on their full release and i cant wait what they have in store for us in the near future, but this simple game mechanic to me makes the game too sand-boxy.
I’m just throwing in some ideas here for sake of alternative ideas.

I think a van life style can be implemented in the game for living in on a budget. It’d be more interesting gameplay for me vs being forced to live in a home/apartment. Having gas/charging stations to keep cars fueled would be a cool addition to this system.

South Korea is also known for jjimjilbang (bath houses) and would be awesome to have that implemented in Dowon city. Gym locations is a known establishment that American van lifers use as an alternative bathing location. Using laptops to make income as a van lifer would also be ideal for this life style.

This could also be a nice Canvas idea for builders to make interior design for vans if and when Krafton dev design team want to expand car ideas.
Just found out there are homeless zois in Bliss Bay (how accurate for America lol). So why can’t we be homeless zois too? The welfare feature truly makes rag to riches challenge impossible.

Krafton let me be a bum, ty :smilechillet:
