Steamdeck - you're not supporting it. Why?
Very disappointed to find this offering is not SteamDeck compatible. Between this and the (poor) choice to run Denovo kernal anti-cheat, you turned me from an eager interest to a 'no go' on purchase until this is course corrected.

If that's never, that is unfortunate; given the numbers Steamdeck holds and the reality that over 1m Steam accounts play on Linux and thus, need steam deck compatibility, you're just hurting yourself with these two, poor decisions.

Reconsider, please.

As far as I am aware, there is no DRM of any kind in this game.

As for supporting steam deck, I'm pretty sure the steam deck doesn't really have the specs to actually run this game? At least, not very well. Given the extremely high system requirements, I'm not even sure your standard console like a PS5 or XBox would be able to play this at maximum settings. I suppose a steam deck might, MIGHT, be able to play this at the lowest of the lowest settings, but does anyone really want to play like that?

Lastly, this game has been shown to work on Linux, using Proton, I think. Not really a Linux guy so I don't really know much about that whole side of things.
I mean despite it saying its not i manage to play it on my steam deck just fine there is some additional tweaking to get it running and it is running on the lowest of the lowest settings so it isnt as stunning graphics wise but it runs also it is still EA so they are still optimising it if you look up inzoi steam deck on YouTube you can find guides on how to get it running

Wow, I genuinely did not think InZoi would run at all on a steam deck, I guess I was mistaken. That sucks that it runs on the lowest setting though, are you able to access any of the AI stuff? Like SmartZoi or the texture AI?
After dealing with the mouse pointer issue the game works fine on the deck for now. You can enable far via the contig or even dlss with dlss enabler mod and then via config. The main issues are that the fonts are pretty small and maybe for some people hard to read. I'm playing in medium settings

Never tried smartZoi but the Texture generator via "AI" works like the canvas content overall.

I stopped caring about the steamdeck support information here on steam and my first way to go is always protondb.

Always puts a smile on my face seeing windows users turning towards Linux as the alternative to go to, even if it's on a handheld device.
I believe it’s unsupported since the steam deck definitely cannot support any of the Ai features and due to that it would be an incomplete game on Deck meaning cannot ever get verified.

Eh, personally Windows ease-of-use is something that makes it unlikely for me to ever switch. I mean, yes, Microsoft seems dead-set on en-♥♥♥♥-ifiying everything they make, but knowing how to manipulate the higher-end, behind-the-scenes stuff takes care of a lot of the problems. Any of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I don't want I can mostly turn off, or break, or mitigate one way or another without to much hassle.

But in my (admittedly very limited) experience with Linux distros, it's a real pain in the ass to get applications that I want to use to work. Like, with Windows, it's just click and run, no issues usually. And if there are issues, most of the time it's a simple fix, a missing sdk or framework, easy. When it's not a simple fix, it's really *not* a simple fix, but I'm so familiar with Windows I can make it work. With Linux, I'm utterly lost and nothing works how I expect it to, driver issues, incompatibilities, I have no clue how the base coding works, and I have to run all my Windows programs in an emulator? Nah, I'm good, I'm gonna stick with what I know lol.

At least until someone makes an open-source, stripped version of Windows or something.
We have a full topic called STEAMDECK where we are discussing all the tweaks to make the game run the best :)
Now I can play it for 3/4 hours with no problems, you can experience some crashing sometimes, but the developers said they want to make it compatible for Steamdeck.

It's no different then people who play this with a computer that doesn't meet the recommended specs.
