inZOI

Getting slightly concerned for inZOI
I had huge hopes for inZOI but with the release of the roadmap and zero dev communications here (most EA games have some dev communication on Steam) I am actually very concerned. The roadmap priorities seem really odd. Hotkey customization for October instead of May is crazy, as is focusing on Modding and Cheat codes before core systems. I am worried that this may be a bait and switch situation and the development team intend on letting the modding community carry the weight whilst they move onto another project

No, because they're not selling EA access on Discord and Discord is a terrible platform for objective feedback since less than 10% use it and the majority of that % are fans that rarely critique

In gaming discord is used more often then not.

Heck even on consoles these days you need to integrate it. Yes it takes over thing to much, but "DO you have discord" is a daily question.

That is where kraken gives more feedback and more people discuss it live. It isn't set up that way here.

Yes, two days without any new information must be terrible. We really need to keep them busy with the community so they have less time for the game,:steamfacepalm:
I think you are to late for a refund. Why don't you accept what is coming, your money is gone.
I am sure all will be alright.

better they focus on meaningful patches than small hotfixes which take up more time than a full patch would.

Again most don't limit communication and feedback to Discord they use multiple sources otherwise you get inaccurate data. Also nobody is joining Discord of every game they own

Judging by their roadmap they're focusing on the least important already

Yes, letting us stop the aging has opened a new can of worms. But we can't stop people from more and more stuff. They want the full game before EA ends and they are gonna charge us for DLC.

Hm I've seen and played quite a few EA games made in Asia where they use Discord as one of their easier to contact with the community options. A lot of gacha games made in Asia do that, so it's nothing new to me. I really don't see anything bad about it.

People are actually looking forward to the modkit in May(especially if you're a modder), since it'll help with making mods a bit easier for the modders. Because right now, they're just working with what tools they have.

I can see why they'll release the ghost update in August, because it's Ghost month/The Ghost Festival/Hungry Ghost Festival(for people in the west, it's a month when the spirits of the dead roam the Earth, this belief is mainly Chinese related, but celebrated in a lot of other Asian countries as well). It might actually be a some what big update since they're adding more to the jobs as well and finally swimming pools, and along with the new city. From what I remember the devs said, the Ghost thing is connected with our Karma system. And if you've been paying attention to managing your city, that's actually important. So ya, that might be a big update.

Update #3, if you're a builder like me, I'm actually looking forward to that because I've been waiting for the object scaling, more vanilla furniture, and more on adding to the building function of the game. And then fixing the family tree (yaaa... That needs a lot fixing).

Still waiting on the pet system, hopefully they'll add it before the year ends. We'll see what they'll do after October.

LOL This gave me a good giggle. People are so pushy and dont seem to understand how long development takes. I want quality content not just trash content.

[Feedback Channels and Communication Plans]
Currently, you can provide category-specific feedback via the #inzoi-feedback channel on our Discord server. If you do not see the channel listed, please check the “Browse Channels” or “Channel & Roles” options in the navigation menu to enable it.

Our team is exploring more efficient ways to gather and organize feedback. We are also preparing a survey so that we can collect a wider range of opinions on future updates. We would greatly appreciate your participation.

We are likewise examining new ways for two-way communication between the inZOI team and the community. The AMA we held in February was indeed a memorable experience for us, but we are also looking into other options that can better accommodate all time zones and languages.

Although we have launched multiple games and communicated with communities before, the passionate and large-scale global community of inZOI is a next-level experience for us, and we are going through some trial and error in finding the optimal means of communication.

A good way is to opening up the channels beyond that discord crap. Krafton can easily get volunteers together to moderate this hub, but these individuals can do more than just moderate, they can silently collect feedback and forward it on to Krafton if the developers themselves don't want to come out here and communicate themselves.

these volunteers can come from all over the world and keep the forum a tidy place and constantly monitor for valuable information to pass along.

Some users have for example asked for a place to report bugs which can be useful to send along to Krafton and they can work out the issues.

There are ways to help Krafton make this game even better.

I think Discord is just not nice to use. I just think that it's a bit cluttered. Maybe it's just me...

Nope, I feel that. I can stay no longer than 5 minutes or I get crazy. I still can't find the section for bugs.
