I have played the Sims, and would consider myself a novice. Figuring out how to address the "goals" is part of the game. I intentionally avoided Twitch streams on InZOI or YouTube videos, because part of the game is figuring out what and how to play the game.
Each play session I have goals. Sometimes I meet them and some times I don't. It was in a second or third play session that I figured out how to do a feature, and was in shock as to the increased play-ability I would be able to experience.
There should be plenty of "let's play InZOI" or how to play videos on YouTube that should help provide pointers on what to do.
