inZOI
Already down to 24,000?
A game like this should have a lot of replayability. Yet the population is already down to low 20ks.
I get this is EA but thats a big dip in numbers in short span of time. Specially for a game like this.

That's what I was worried about too.

The competitor is F2P now and had dedicated fans anyways + 10 years old.

You won't see big numbers until release or a huge milestone update. Going over 20,000 for such a bare early access is already impressive.

But over 100k people already paid for it. So the money is not the factor for the dip.

The competition is F2p but very expensive if you include the dlcs.
I mean you're playing Baldurs Gate 3 at the very moment of this post and when it was in early access, it sat around under 10,000 players. The population didn't explode until it was released. So why does it matter if the same is happening with this game?

Have you missed the news today? inZOI has sold over 1 million copies within one week of early access. This is fantastic.

Are you really comparing BG3 with this game? I am not really a DnD gamer. The only reason I am even playing the game is because of how popular it is and it has some things (like story and customization) that I do like.
In other words if it wasn't such a popular game and such raving reviews I wouldn't be playing it.

I will eventually buy inZOI. The question is whether to buy it now or on sale when it probably has more content as well.

I can't play InZoi every day either.

Sometimes I switch back to Sims, sometimes I play a completely different genre. I've never been the type to dedicate my entire gaming life to a single game.

I think there are more people like me. Of course, the numbers drop from time to time, that's normal.

Besides, I strongly believe that once the second mod kit is released (not Blender/Maya, but Blueprint later this year) and we get gameplay mods, the numbers will rise significantly. Games like these live through mods.

I was reading today that Inzoi had gone past the 1 million sales mark in the first week , Numbers will vary at time because people are asleep , at work etc

There's next to no actual game play. You can improve a few skills, but the game is severely lacking a soul.

Character interactions alone need to come a long ways before the game will catch any more attention.
It doesn't needs big numbers, it just needs players who keeps playing it, I have back many smaller early access and they doing fine also I never back kickstarter for there you get nothing if unlucky but on Steam early access you will always get a playable game
Isn't the game Early Access? People have learned the hard way. At least KSP2 fans did. I hope.

Yups it's and haft don't have idea what early access means, was same in Palworld when was it's buggy, what you think it's early access/alpha/beta build of a game
The game basically has no playable content except skills that does not bring much to the table, it really needs mod support
I was hoping we would get some brand new style of games, but I was disappointed, so I got my money back.
Better mechanics then Sims, better graphics then Sims, more options then Sims, but it still is just Sims, nothing new.
