I know, I know but £35 for an EA game is a bit much.
I have bought into many EA games over my time on Steam so it's not something I'm even remotely against.
But I especially love them when they are cheaper than they are gonna be on full release as the devs are aware you are taking a chance on their work and you kinda feel like a part of the process - reporting bugs, making suggestions, etc.
So, to me, this game seems a bit steep at £35, especially when I have read many reviews saying how barebones it is right now.
Or is £35 the discounted EA price and is going to go up on full release?

barebones now, yes. in a year from now when it has multiple big updates and heads towards release, it will be a whole other matter.

don't imagine how it could be now with the £35, but rather how it could end up when the developers are done with it. It may not seem like it right now at £35 but that can change over the time it remains in early access.

Ultimately this is your choice and i can not tell you if you should get the game or not. I would always suggest you do your research before you consider purchasing or not, not just reviews, but everything else you can find.

Yeah, I've watched streams and YT vids on it, but atm I'm just not won over for the price. Plus, as you probably are well aware of, way too many EA games just stop being worked on and die, so for me, putting 35 crisp ones down on such an ambitious project just makes me balk.
Thank you for the input though.

The gameplay is barebone and it felt into the same trap as The Sims 4 : too many interactions that don't bring anything. A chore to play and really shallow. It also looks aseptized and the "art-style" is ugly and flat.
Baldur's Gate 3 has been the same price from the launch of the Early Access version to the final release date and even now. It's simple, if you don't think it's worth it don't buy it.
35 now, but for the next year you get all DLC free, all the updates free and watch it improve. Also, this isn't EA but another company.

I agree. I bought the game but there's no game here as of yet. Even with the most basic features. With most early access titles you get more gameplay than this but then again the developer is pumping out updates on the regular so if they keep doing this it might accelerate progress

What can I say? I'm a polite guy :)

BG3 is a bit of a bad comparison as it is a bigger game made by an established dev with lots of experience in their field. This, plus the fact they are a large, but mostly independent (Tencent owns 30% of their shares), company kinda makes their game AAA, and we all know AAA games being released into EA is pretty rare.
I know Hades is also a AA/AAA hybrid and was in EA for 2 years, but again it's super rare for AAA games to be sold in an EA state.
What most big devs do is release a broken 1.0 version then bugfix it to hell afterwards.
In comparison InZOI Studios have no back catalogue at all, but do have a publisher who have been behind a few games, PubG, Dinkum and Redacted, etc. They have only published 7 games - including InZOI - so I'm not sure how well off they are or how much they are pumping into this game.

tl;dr £35 seems a tad pricey.
