With that being said, Sims has had a lot more time to 'marinate'. There's more for your characters to do and interact with and the housing part doesn't feel painful to tinker with whereas it's pretty rough around the edges- especially when fine detail decorating. I gave an unofficial demo a whirl and my advice is to let it cook. You're more or less buying a korean character creator which if it's your first will blow your mind since their devs have a knack for giving you a wild amount of customization.
If you're into modding, definitely let it cook.
Yep, i am.
And i will, thanks
in the aspect of amount of content InZOI now > Sims 4 without any DLCs
SIms 4 with all DLCs > current version of InZOI
From the viewpoint of content quality, InZOI is much much better than Sims 4
Plus, InZOI has a huge potential for the future, because it seems to me that developers really work on the game, not selling lgbt clothes packs one after another over and over again like EA
is Inzoi better than sims 5 ? Yes, because sims 5 doesn't even exist and we re all stuck with an old buggy mess of a game called sims 4
The three main issues for me are:
1. From the technical point it's badly optimized so you need a beefy PC and at least I struggle with regular crashes back to the Desktop in Live Mode.
2. Content is limited since the game is still like the skelleton experience. If you come from Sims 4 you will definitelly miss a lot of stuff you can't do yet.
3. The gameplay mechanics are somehow tedious and boring because they don't function correctly, are too simple and dull and so you can become the best friend, best work colleague and true love of two Zois in like one day while interacting with them for a short time because the balancing is still not there.
At the moment stuff like different characters and life goals simply don't work and so it's easy to get like 1000 friends in a short time while the work and university stuff on the other hand takes forever to get a little bit of progress and can't be sped up.
The character and the house designer are suberb, though and if this is your thing you can spend many hours on creating the perfect Zois or Houses that match your taste.
In my opinion the price is a little bit too high for what the game offers but Krafton already promised that all DLCs in the Early Access will be for free for any buyer and that it might be sold more expensive once V1.0 gets released. We'll see if they keep their word.
It has lots of things to improve and it's annoying in some areas, but it isn't bad and it's a good start
If you purchase during Early Access (EA), you get all the updates and one DLC update for free until the full release at the price tag of an EA title. Once it hits full release, that Cat Island City DLC update might not be free anymore, from the look of how they have called that update a DLC. Obviously, we don't know exactly how many more updates there will be beyond the one already announced on the roadmap after December, but that’s what purchasing during EA gets you: enjoying all the perks, arguably at a lower price than when the full release drops. Just putting it out there as a reminder.
atm, the build/cas is v similar to sims4, so thats good, and will be expanded on i guess
the worlds we have are pretty large, but a bit empty, but that can also be expansed upon later
the gameplay is a bit lacking atm, but with the addition of the AI i see alot of potential of sims2-like indepth gameplay
so it has alot of potential, but still has a long way to go
If you're just looking for a doll up or house building sim, then go ahead and play sims 4 since it's free.
