We would like to inform you that the following hotfix has been applied to inZOI. Please refer to the details below for more information.


**◆ Hotfix Details**
◽️ Patch Date: April 1, 2025 at 13:30 (UTC)
◽️ Game Version: 20250401.1483.W
◽️ Fixes:
　- Adjusted lifespan rules so that only Zois in senior age groups may now pass away naturally.
　　※ Previously, Zois could die of natural causes at relatively early ages based on realistic probabilities. However, we also believe it’s just as important for Creators to have time to bond with their characters and fully immerse themselves in their stories.
　　※ With that in mind, we’ve updated the lifespan rules so you can spend more time with your Zois.
　　※ Please note that this change only applies to newly created Zois via New Game. It does not affect existing save files or Zois already in progress.
　- Fixed an issue where clothing remained dirty or damaged after washing under certain conditions.
　- Resolved a crash issue that could occur intermittently in certain situations.

We are currently investigating the E01 and E04 errors occurring when uploading to Canvas, as well as other issues that have been reported by our Creators.
Further updates will be shared as we learn more.

We will continue working to make inZOI more stable and enjoyable for everyone.

Time to start a new Zoi, and delete the old ones.

We need to be able to turn off death and aging completely. My zoi started as a young adult, started college on her second day, and by the end of about a week in game she had aged up to adult and graduated college (she went to it all of 3 days). I know you can make the days longer, up to 24 hours even, but that doesn't help the game play at all. I don't want long, boring days, I want more days with my zoi in her various life stages. I added another young adult zoi in another house and made him a firefighter on the first day. He too, aged up to adult after about one week, and was mysteriously unemployed. He wasn't fired, his job performance was good, no absences, he just suddenly didn't have a job. They got engaged on Saturday and had an engagement party on Sunday, and I had planned to have the wedding the following weekend. But I'm afraid they are going to be middle aged in only one week!

There is a birthday cake in the game that can have the candles lit. I would suggest making the cake a way to manually age up the zoi when the player is ready, similar to how the Sims handles auto aging being turned off. This issue is going to to drive players away, because no one wants to spend a dozen or more hours painstakingly creating their characters, wardrobes, houses and more, only to find they are only 'allowed' two in game weeks of desirable game play, and then two more weeks playing as old people. Then death, which functionally ends the game.

It's not balanced and it will also lead to a lot of orphaned children, because the player won't be having kids until the last day or two of middle age, and then get no time to enjoy married life or actually raising the kids. This game is advertised as being about choice. People bought it based on that selling point. Forcing our characters to age and die is the opposite of giving the player freedom. A sandbox life sim with no player choice just won't survive, so while I'm glad the devs are aware of the issue, this 'fix' is not an actual fix.

i was thinking of doing my own april fools prank, but humour as subjective as it is could be mishandled, so i've left it alone.

I’m hoping for a update that lets us choose age spans or just disable it.

If this never comes from the developers and left to modders that is just a shame.

Maybe that comes in the near future. This was an emergency patch.
