You're kidding, right? The Sims handled this way better. At least their censoring felt somewhat believable. In inZOI, the Zois don't even pull their pants down when they sit on the toilet—the censor just pops up while they're fully dressed. And the shower? They have a towel on under the censor. What's the point of that?

I get it, both games are rated Teen, but come on. At least in The Sims, it looked like they were actually nude behind the blur. inZOI just slaps a censor over a fully clothed character, and as an adult gamer, that just feels weird and unnecessary.

Don't get me wrong—I'm loving early access so far. But this is one of those little things that breaks immersion. I really hope they tweak the censorship to make it at least somewhat realistic, even within the Teen rating and this game looks more realistic than The Sims, visual wise. I know they're aiming for a wider audience, and of course, there's always modding, but still... they can do better.

Yeah, the underwear part is probably a bug, but even without it, the whole censoring thing in inZOI might be a little bit over the top. Like, we get it—it's a Teen-rated game. But The Sims at least made it look like they were actually nude behind the blur. Lol

Apparently the pixelating, on the more photorealistic Unreal Engine Zois, was too revealing, and I think they were aware of the Mod which people used to remove the pixels in the sims.

So, they made a choice to use Towels. If there is nothing under those towels (no pixels to show body, then no amount of Mods can be used to remove the towel ... without showing empty space.

The trouble is that historically those mods are some of the least safe mods to download because people take advantage and pack trojans into those things all the time. This is why I'm generally against games doing ludicrous censorship because it's always gonna get modded out very quickly and the bad actors will use it as an attack vector for users who are less technically minded.

Just as a word of warning I would as a rule never download any of those type of mods for a long time until they're made by people who have built up rep within the modding scene and are offering the files directly or as part of a larger project. It ain't worth the risk.

Change the game filter modes, the censorship isn’t implemented in all of them lol.

turbodriver is one such modder who has done really well with wicked whims/wonderful whims, now the modder wants to expand out into Inzoi with Wickedzoi. you can be sure right away that it will be safe enough and the modder is well known in TS4 modding circles.
