No achievements? Seriously?
It's 2025 and they're launching a game without any achievements?

I really thought it was obvious by now but, apparently not. So I'll spell it out:

NO ACHIEVEMENTS = NO PURCHASES.

Hopefully this helps the devs get the hint.

okay guys, we're good here, achievements are done now, rob doesn't really care about them

Don't expect kind responses if you give this petty attitude also.
Yeah I'm sure the responses were on the verge of being very understanding and kind until I ruined it with my attitude. Shucks! I bet the conversation would have been really friendly and reasonable, if only I hadn't messed it all up

Achievements? I have been playing electronic and computer games for many decades, since they were invented. I have Never given a rat's a@@ about achievements. I see no point in them.

Same here, personally i don't see any point of this, is it to show off other gamers that you play harder than them? prob.

It JUST released in early access, not adding achievements until full release or a later version is extremely common. I had almost 1000 hours in Mount and Blade Bannerlord with no achievements because they weren't released until after I put that time in XD. Wait if you want but this is kind of a brain-dead post

Yeah I always respond to "brain dead posts" when I see them.

purely out of curiosity, are you just looking for games to perfect?

might be why they need the achievements. Some people have real life achievements, others need in game ones.
Yeah if I had real life achievements, I would make my profile public so everyone could see all my real life achievements, that's actually a really solid point you made there

What is your reason to have a private profile for an online video game platform? The only reason I can think would be shame of possibly adult themed games and perhaps that is embarrassing to admit to. I just doubt most people would hide profiles even then. However bait and troll posts typically have a lot of private profiles or profiles devoid of human like looks and "feels" to them.

As to your post, it's common to not have achievements in early access because a lot of the data they will get and analyze will likely be used to either make the achievements at the end, or refine achievements they work on prior to release. It is not common knowledge to realize "no achievements=No buy" because that's a very small proportion of gamers as they play a game for the purpose of achievement gratification. A game within the game, which is a slippery slope for a lot of people since it can be the more negative aspects of engagement in gaming that is formulated to keep players hooked and locked into their product.

My profile has zero relevance to the thread. We're talking about video games, you don't need to know anything about me personally to participate in this conversation. The fact that, even with a private profile, you're just making up personal things about me, says everything we need to know about your contribution.

Just assume a bunch of random, embarrassing things about me, and rest assured that I'm whatever you believe I am.

Sims games don't have achievements either get some creativity these games don't need to be linear. :mhwgood:

Most people don't need a popup telling them how to play their life-sim. :chocola:

Yeah whenever I see someone baiting for attention, I immediately bite it and give them the thing they wanted. Because I don't care about it at all.
