can you save characters so you don't have to keep making them when starting a game

? err...yeh play the game with the zoi you created. it auto saves every 15 mins or you can manually save by pressing esc.

Yes, you can by clicking "Save" button, the very first button under "Zoi Presets." Once you save it, it'll show under Zoi Presets. You can also download all the characters that ppl created from Canvas. They'll all show under Zoi Presets.

If you don't save it as a Zoi Preset when making the character, then once the character is in the game world, you have to upload it to Canvas. Once that's done, you re-download it into the character creator as a new Zoi (the full-featured creator, where you can set their name traits). THEN you can save it locally without uploading it to Canvas again ... On the other hand, if you've changed their outfits or such while playing them in the game world, you'll want to upload them to Canvas so you can save the 'new' version, anyway.

You can still save their outfits as presets once they're in-game, at least. You can do that by editing their appearance from a dresser or mirror, and clicking the 'Save' button on the outfit preset list. You just can't save the whole Zoi as a package with all of their outfits in 1 save.

This is actually something the devs will fix later, I'm sure. You should be able to save a Zoi as a preset at any time, not just in the full-version of the Character Creator. But not today.
