inZOI
Over 5000 hours on Sims, 1500+ on Sims 4 - My opinion
Hello Community,

Like many, this game was a must have. I purchased it day one and went in with high hopes. My system runs it on ultra 4K with 120FPS, everything is flawless on the graphical side, until I went further into relationships and gameplay.

A few of my main points:

1. The Inzoi feel empty and don't seem to wish to continue communicating with each other, and I feel I constantly need to prod them forward in conversations.

2. Romantic relationships are way too easy. I went to a cafe with the mission to get a girlfriend, left 30 minutes later with a fiance.

3. You can't add people to your family via conversation unless you get married.

4. Time speed even on MAX is mind-blowingly slow.

5. 50K starting money is insane. I got a crappy appartment, yet decked it out with the nicest stuff that I wanted, and had 30K left over.

6. The camera movement is janky, I don't really feel the need to directly control my Inzoi, I'm used to WASD to move the camera around, I know you can hold LMB to move it, but it just feels weird.

To all of those out there that currently play, can you give me some feedback on my above? I'm so close to purchasing this AGAIN (surprised Steam refunded it at 3.5 hours), as I'm missing it already but wondering if it really is a worthy purchase right now.

Agreed there is a lot of balancing that needs to be done sooner then later... and much more content that needs to be added. This game has the potential to be the sims killer depending on what they do with mods... but they still have a long way to go.
I just want to be able to stretch a gable roof into my main roof without it rebounding back :( my house looks dumb as hell

The entire relationship system consists of 3 relationship bars with 6 levels or more.
Not yet working in the current version.

I used my starting money to buy a good empty plot of land and built one of the great prefab houses. I didn't pay attention to money when testing the game. The money cheats in the game. In the UI of the cat if you need more. and want to try one of the giant villas.

I only start playing properly when the game works properly

I have about 12 hours of playtime, and I agree with all of your points.

Max speed drives me crazy, especially during worktime because it's so slow.
I'm also quite annoyed, because during the Q&A, they told us: "We're not fans of rabbithole jobs like in the sims, so you'll see, you'll be able to follow your Zois at their jobs". Which isn't even true. Most full time jobs are rabbitholes and force you to wait for so long.

I played all 4 as well, and I've barely done anything in Zoi. 80% of my time messing with settings, 15% making a character, and 5% wandering the city and realizing half the interactions were broken. All there currently is is customization, requiring vast amounts of creativity.

Can someone explain the time in this game I am still on day one after 11 hours.
Agree, I haven't played much yet, but my wife has been playing a lot alongside me. I've really noticed these flaws.

1. The world is still very empty.
2. Yes, romances are easy, things happen faster than Tinder: "hi and bang".
5. The game doesn't offer any difficulty, it feels like an "heir simulator".

The fact that it doesn't have any challenges really discourages me, it's not even close to being fun at this point.
I hope the content will be enjoyable in the future, this game has a long way to go. Until then, maybe some mods will cover part of what's missing.

But there's no way to compare it to The Sims 4, which is already a solid franchise, with extensive content and many years of development. It wouldn't be fair to make this comparison, so I can only evaluate it in its "Early Access" state.

i actually have more fun watching my zoi living by herself rather than trying to play (where gameplay ?)
The world is less empty and they interact more if you use the AI setting in the options and turn it on. Smart Zoi helps so much with this that it's kind of insane. If you're not able to run Smart Zoi, I'd say wait to see if it becomes more optimised with time.

Yeah I don't like that feature my Zois made enemies that way.

You can adjust the sliders to make it harder to build relationships under the manage city tab on karma

And for some reason eating or drinking taking so much time

Time set on 24Hr in the option is very very very slow, try again.

This is why feedback on Early Access games are so important. Also some people need to understand this is not finished game, and they need feedback like this, I don't know if they check Steam Discussion but I know they read all the feedback on their Discord server and then patching the game

How is this different from Sims 4? You can convince Bella to abandon her family and marry you in 5 minutes, and the world is even more empty.
Didn't play Inzoi yet, just watched few streams.
