Always "Out of video memory"
Am I the only one experiencing constant crashes in the game? Even at 4K resolution with medium graphics settings, it crashes. It says, "out of video memory." I lowered the settings to low, but the game still consumes almost 9GB of VRAM. At 1440p, it only runs on low-medium settings, but eventually, it crashes with the same error message.

I've updated all my drivers. I saw on YouTube that someone was playing at 4K medium settings with an RTX 3070 without any issues.

I was so excited for this game and bought it on release day, but now I'm really disappointed that I can't play it properly.

My specs:
RTX 3080 10 GB
Ryzen 7 5700X
32GB RAM
2 TB M.2 SSD

try using Optimizer / SPF from guide. this won't lower your graphics, just gonna make game run smoother and should fix your problem
I have a RTX 3080 10 GB as well but no 4k monitor, so that resolution. is not an option. I am running on an ultra-wide monitor . I only experienced that issue when I failed to close 2-3 other games that were running in the background.

Try the game with minimum graphics just to see if it works.
If it's working, activate graphic option one by one until you crash, and you will know your enemy.

4k is really demanding. Also it's Early Access they have a long way to optimize the game fully

The out of memory error is a common problem in UE5 games. This has nothing to do with the game itself, but with that damn engine, which is extremely unstable. Hardly any game runs smoothly with it.

Nanite, Lumen, Virtual Shadow Maps, Virtual Texturing... All of that sounds amazing but it comes at a price: massive RAM and VRAM usage. Even high-end PCs can struggle, and consoles are constantly hitting their limits. A lot of studios jump into UE5 without fully understanding how to optimize for it. Some developers skip the deep optimization phase, especially with tight deadlines or small teams.

UE5 is incredibly memory-hungry. OOM crashes are often and some games even crash on the Xbox Series S due to its limited RAM. UE5 is still new to a lot of developers. Many come from UE4 and underestimate the complexity and demands of UE5.

Unreal Engine 5 is a beast, but it's more like a high-end supercar that hasn’t been fully tuned yet. If you know how to handle it, the results can be stunning. But if you don’t, you’ll crash and burn real quick.

its kinda whst dev never try too addresd is texture sizes if its 4k you porb need at least 12gb ram. even then you my need dlss on performance mode. for some reason devs just have a ability too over inflare txture sizes and all you can do is blue screen. and half the textures are only 720p anyway
