try using Optimizer / SPF from guide. this won't lower your graphics, just gonna make game run smoother and should fix your problem
If it's working, activate graphic option one by one until you crash, and you will know your enemy.
Nanite, Lumen, Virtual Shadow Maps, Virtual Texturing... All of that sounds amazing but it comes at a price: massive RAM and VRAM usage. Even high-end PCs can struggle, and consoles are constantly hitting their limits. A lot of studios jump into UE5 without fully understanding how to optimize for it. Some developers skip the deep optimization phase, especially with tight deadlines or small teams.
UE5 is incredibly memory-hungry. OOM crashes are often and some games even crash on the Xbox Series S due to its limited RAM. UE5 is still new to a lot of developers. Many come from UE4 and underestimate the complexity and demands of UE5.
Unreal Engine 5 is a beast, but it's more like a high-end supercar that hasn’t been fully tuned yet. If you know how to handle it, the results can be stunning. But if you don’t, you’ll crash and burn real quick.
