This game just looks like generic triple A realism slop that lacks substance other than its uncanny graphical style
Does this game actually have engaging content, or is most of the enjoyment just from looking at der gramphics?
Frankly this game lacks any real sense of artstyle, and it puts me off. and, when games go all in with the realism work, other departments get left behind as creating "realistic" (aka uncanny valley) graphics takes a lot of time and effort.

Is this game just style over substance, or is there an actual engaging lifesim behind this uncanny valley?

i guess? at least it kinda attempted to have a sort of artstyle and was very clearly a bit toony, but its issues come from it being over a decade old and having tons and tons of overpriced dlc for no good reason.

so, no. not like the sims 4, which is bad in its own, different, way.

Realism is not synonymous to uncanny valley. The latter is subjective.

From what I can tell, Inzoi is an alternative for people who like realism. For those who don't there is already a well-established series and several more stylized offerings are on the way. It's nice to have a realistic option, at last.

As far as the gameplay, there is a lot left to be desired, it's true. However, as an early access game, I'm willing to give it room to stretch and grow. At this point, Inzoi has more quality of life items and activities than TS4 had at launch, and at no additional cost!

What I enjoy most is that ZOI's live in the same universe. They touch during a lot of activities. I can't say the same for the other game where the avatars mostly walk around in their own lonely bubbles. The motion capture is superb.

i dont agree with you, the game play like sims 3 and even more detailed with everything the world, the people, every action you take in the game is very detailed, its gameplay is even better then sims series but the current stage of game have lots of technical issues, quality of life issues, and have few contents, but with future updates they will fix and stabilize it and add more content to it
Sounds like you’ve already made up your mind, but the game is more than just pretty graphics—it completely outshines the base Sims. If you're the creative type, you can go wild designing your own clutter, pictures, and decor directly in the game, with no need for external tools to upload custom wall art or wallpaper. Plus, it’s still in Early Access, so it’s only going to get better. A legitimate studio is behind it, and they seem genuinely passionate about the project. But if you want something less real, check out Paralives.
(playing in family shared Inzoi).

You can get into abusive relationships.
I think that's pretty neat.
The game's current content for actaully controlling Zoi's is limited most the content is around designing buildings houses and cities.

The game doesn't know what it wants to be realistically rn.

I find a Sim with realistic graphics very appealing.
I don't really like Sims' cartoon graphics. But Sims was also created for the 6-year-old Ratig and up. and is quite expensive at 2000€ to play everything.
and the programming and the game is a mess with lots of chaos and bugs.
Some of which have not been fixed for years and are marketed as typical Sims chaos.
I played it now and then because they have a monopoly on the market.

This game could be my new great hope for a better game.
Not only is the rate higher 12+ so you can expect a bit more.
the setting as an employee of a company that manages virtual worlds,
and getting into trouble with the CEO if you manage the worlds too badly sounds interesting.

I mean... you could actually post what's good about the game from your experience since you own it. But, they aren't that wrong with their initial reaction. I watched a couple reviews and just thought "meh". The game lacks any real style and seems like a lot of the implementations are pretty surface level at this point which will end up leading to a pretty boring experience pretty quickly. I wouldn't mind hopping back into a Sims-like game but I guess I'm still going to be waiting.

im trying to gauge if this game is for me. i want to see other peoples opinions and experiences to see if my initial opinion on what ive seen about this title is wrong. unlike most internet users, i like to have an open mind and hear multiple accounts to develop an informed opinion on things.

however, it does seem that this game is very much style over substance from what ive read here so far, and a lot of people banking on future updates to add more features with depth.

Sometimes, the only way to know for sure is to try a game yourself. Watching someone play *their* way or asking someone about their experience could lead you to miss out on something special. You're the most important factor. If you're able, try the game yourself.
