Let's have a real talk?
The game itself has a really cool concept, but the general play ability and current structure is incomplete and unbearable at times. Mixed with it's heavy use of AI generation art and character designs, it's slow and clunky. It was better off with not releasing at the current unpolished state.

For those saying it's early access. It's the same price as many AA games at release. It isn't priced as an early access title or at least it should have more features than it does.

So many desperate for a true Sims successor are looking at this through rose tinted glasses however I worry about this as people with such low expectations are the reason developers no longer innovate. The Sims 4 being a perfect example

Only issues i have with it are:

Crashes on fast travel if you are focused on the character doing the fast travel and on load it hangs then crashes to desktop. unfocused it does not happen. click after and it seems to pre cue the space and instant switches.

Couples right off the bat fight to much, even when you get it to loving status. one of them, even with familia values as focus, always is negative. Sliders to lower negative comments/karma seem to only affect the other city dwellers. It a battle to make married couples act like adults . I fear ill switch back and the wife will literally kill the husband.

I think the negative interaction frequency is THROUGH THE ROOF, I get we can tune the map settings to dim it down, but at default, the town is just a cesspool of miasma...hence for now, the Karma system is a tedious mechanic. I have to constantly switch to many families and literally force feed good dialogue to ease it up.

The AI aspects are unironically one of the game's best selling points. This is one of the few that's genuinely trying to take advantage of AI in real time, something that's going to be the future of gaming as the tech only gets better. You couldn't ask for more innovation than that.

Though, I'm very curious what you dislike about the character designs. From all I've seen so far, they look absolutely fantastic. Tons of customizability.

Hey I agree with your sentiment. It's nowhere near ready imo. I'm afraid it's going to be one of those game that NEVER finish and will just rely on modders to fix everything, but we'll have to wait and see what they plan to release to refine the game.

I already do not like the Karma system. It's too fussy of a mechanic for me. No autonomy is not true, because they still move around anyways doing random stuff. Also I don't like the personality system either. I don't see how it's executed out. Some animations are not even completed. Watching them climb the stairs is painful lol and routing makes no sense. Also, when you wash dishes, they'll literally take food from other zois and remove it.

Ugh. The karma system is annoying to me as well, hopefully they make it optional later on. Also i'm a mix on your "modders to fix everything" statement cause I feel like that's literally the sims 4 atm. So many bugs and modders always come to the rescue to make the game playable and enjoyable, although I haven't touched the sims in a LONG time so I'm not sure how the bugs and stuff are now. Also heavily agree on the animations, I was constantly confused on why my Zoi would walk allllll the way back to the entrance at a place to go talk to another Zoi who was literally a few steps from them. Also having to make ONE meal at a time...
OMG, yes on the cooking. I am a veteran Sims 3 player and it drives me nuts you can't make servings, you can't clean individual dishes...etc etc. I'm sorry, but for ppl saying "this isn't Sims". hate to say this but INZOI is a direct competitor, it's got to have the fleshed out detail and game play similar to the Sims and more. I know Sims isn't perfect, but even at base Sims 3, it didn't have incomplete scripting and animation.

Being all early access and all...for me...what does this phase even mean? Are we the players the QA testers? There's so much work that Krafton has to do. Ultimately though, no hate to them at all and there are some things I really like. I just hope they're aware of these goofy errors.
don't buy EA games if you always complain about them being incomplete :steamfacepalm:

still better than Sims
Missed the part where I said it was a cool concept...I am in no way saying the Sims were better. I hated sims 4 and refused to play it, though there are no features in this "Early Access" game that makes you want to stay.

There are numerous issues with the current state of it, one is the developers put a literal "cheat money" button into the menu, giving the players UNLIMITED capital regardless of work. Second, the building aspect is far from accurate and has issues with walls connecting properly.

I want this game to succeed, but it's obvious this game going into EARLY ACCESS was a desperate attempt to save the studio from shutting down.
I'd argue a button to have infinite capital is a good thing, so long as its how the player wants to play it. Sims has cheats that allow effectively infinite money too, and those who want to play that way certainly can. More options is always a good thing for a game. If you're trying to create something that money is getting in the way of making it, the player should have the option to remove that obstacle.

Kinda like how Minecraft can be played in survival or creative mode.

How about the routing just to talk to another zoi for ONE dialogue option. I swear, I watch my zoi sit down at every sit in the house to just talk with the other zoi.

Having a console command would make it better instead of just a button to add money. at least for the sims you had to physically enter it.

From what i have seen so far, there isnt anything new in the house building, that sims didnt already have.

For example:
- No curved walls
- No curved furniture, kitchen appliances windows or doors.
- no wall height flexibility. (If i want a wall that a zoi can trip over, then i should be able too, particularly within the garden or along a banister up the stairs and adding railings ontop of it.
- 2 foundations and platforms cannot merge together or have different floor levels with steps (or atleast from what ive seen in a beginner guide video)
Sims had this issue that stopped very detailed design house building.
- roof segments dont intersect very well with no attic like possibilities
- leaning walls and pillars ( unable to make walls lean or arch to make unique looking homes)
- no wall arches
- no wall borders for floors and ceilings
- No ceiling features such as beams.
- No inner roof rafter beams for exposed open plan designs (think a barn house where you can see all the exposed wooden beams holding the roof up)
- no steps on the floors to give a home character by having rooms on different heights.
- no basements (i can forgive this being early access)
- no attic / lofts inside the roof
- no chimneys

Bare in mind i could be wrong. I dont own the game and only judging by what ive seen in videos.

As far as i can tell sims is a far better house builder, and i hoped inzoi to have more innovative abilities to build that sims doesnt have, but right now it seems to be a sims copy paste but with less features.

Now you could say of which everyone does, its an early access, but in my view house building is a core game mechanic and i feel like the devs should at the very least be wowing us with building abilities that sims didnt have and yet it does look like a barebones sims copycat than anything been done differently.

Right now sims4 is a far far better game, in the space of house building.
And from looking at the roadmap, theres no signs of house building getting improved except adding pools.
I think sims4 is on a whole other planet and levels above this game. Im going to hold out and hope this will change in time. The fact this game isnt doing anything innovative regarding house building is a killer for me.

I guess we'll really know 10 - 25 years from now when inzoi has as much time as the sims lol. There are a few things you can do that you listed not being able to do. But like you said, you didnt play the game

the sims 4 was trash, i prefer sims 3 and inzoi, and yes inzoi early access have issues but will fixed eventually and more content will be add to game in future

And so was BG3. Early access does not mean a lack of quality. TBH, this is above TS4 base game at launch and it can only get better. The thing about Early Access is that it provides not only testing, but player feedback. Which they have shown they will listen to with the removal of that awful DRM manager.

OP:: You don't have to use the AI stuff. You are free to create your own designs and add those too. This is just looking for reasons to be upset. :Coffee_Lucanis: I have not had any clunk. It runs better than the most recent TS4 release.
