How to do school assignment - compose harmonies for choral performance assessment

It says using microphone but I bought all microphones and don't get that option

I think this is something that is either a bug or we're missing something. I had the same issue with a school assignment. I had two assignments, one to read a book and the other to do an assignment on the computer. I found the assignment on the computer, but had no idea where the book was to read. I looked her inventory, looked around her apartment for a book, used the bookshelf she has, but no book with that specific name was available to reads, so I wasn't able to complete the assignment.
Maybe someone has insight on this?

I remember before I had the assignment I could click on the mic on my desk and it says "Examine" but after getting this assignment I can't seem to click on my desk mic anymore. Bought a standing mic but it seems that the requirement is the desk mic.

If it's a requirement to use the desk mic, but it's now not letting you use it, it has to be a bug.

I found out the fix for this assignment. You just have to 'Sing a Song' on a standing microphone.
